So I have been testing out the **Exode** Alpha recently and have been thinking of writing a post on it.

My thoughts on the Alpha:

I have only  known about Exode recently, and have been in the Discord channel asking about the game. After some chats in the discord channel with the community members and the creator @Elindos, I was interested in the game. Hence, I try to keep up to date with the announcements about Exode. So when the initial Alpha EXE was ready, I knew I had to test it out.

When you start the game you will see this:

Then you will be taken to the menu screen:

Once you click on "Begin Your Adventure". you will be presented with this screen:

In essence, this is part of the evacuation mission, where you will need to select officers and crew members to assist with the operations. In the Alpha version, you will be using set officers and crew members, but later on you would be able to select other officers and crew members such as below:

There are some bugs in this version, and most of it have been communicated to the creator. So the bugs will be addressed as time goes on. However, first look, it feels refreshing and seems like a game that I might enjoy.

You will be providing commands to your officers and crew members to assist with the evacuation mission. There is currently also a tutorial in the version to assist first time users.

After testing out the Alpha, I still do not fully understand the entire game, but the tutorial did assist. However @Elindos will be making updates and addressing some of the bugs so that the playable version(with fewer bugs) will be ready by the 30th of April, so I do look forward to that.

>Apr 29th: Browser version (of playable alpha) enters our Testroom.
Please note it should require a good connection, but should work on all platforms.

>Apr 30th: Playable alpha can be tested (with some less bugs than first version).
This is our BIG date.

>Early May: More specifics are released in playable alpha; such as testing your Special Crew and deploying a Kilbot to clean that cargo bay of its looters; and using your escorts!

Also, there is currently a *presale* going on, and the first price increase for most items will occur on the 30th of April (6PM UTC) at the current moment.

This is based on current prices, but prices will be increasing very soon. 
You can purchase other packs only  if you want to.

*Here are some example, I have bought other packs as I think they will be useful when the game launches but it is really up to you. Some prices are quite high, but you have to determine for yourself whether the price is reasonable and that you are comfortable with spending*
