In this post, I have the tutorial for you guys in which I will tell you that how you can apply the zig-zag effect into stroke in the adobe illustrator. 

This effect is very useful and widely used for the retro or badge logo as well. From this effect, you are also able to create a waves shapes as well. Like Mountains shape, you can create it from this zig-zag effect. 

In this tutorial, I have explained all the procedure step by step how you can change the simple stroke into wave shape or in zig-zag effect.

# Steps to do!

* First open the new page.
* Select the Ellipse tool.
* Choose the color which visually cleared for a  difference.
* Now select the stroke and increase as you wanted.
* Now go to the "Effect Menu" and select Distort & transform. 
* Now select the zig zag option.
* or press alt+shift+ctrl+E.
* Specify the steps and size of it.
* Then set the setting as in the video.
* You are also able to set as you like
