<h4>Un cole贸ptero de color verde 馃 fue capturado por Jordy este fin de semana que viaj贸 al pueblo, all铆 se encuentran diversos animales (insectos, ar谩cnidos y aves) y este nos llama la atenci贸n por su vistoso colorido. Al inicio estaba muy camuflageado entre las hojas del arbol, ya que es su fuente de alimento.</h4>

Su cuerpo de color verde puro "clorofila" 馃 en 90%, mientras que el resto es mezcla de color blanco, marr贸n y negro. Pienso que el color blanco deriva de su estadio larvario, apareciendo debejo del abdomen y en sus 茅litros. Por cierto, la larva se desarrolla a nivel del suelo de donde extrae la materia org谩nica y en ocasiones ataca las raices de las plantas cercanas.</blockquote>

<h4>En estadio adulto, el cole贸ptero del G茅nero <em>Hylamorpha</em> se alimenta de las hojas de ciertas plantas (谩rboles) y llega a constituirse como un insecto devorador de ramas, troncos y hojas, ya que cuenta con un sistema bucal de tipo masticador.</h4>

Las antenas son del tipo <em>lamelada</em>, muy particular en este tipo de cole贸ptero. Sus patas son muy pilosas (pelos blancos), el f茅mur de color verde y los tarsos son de color marr贸n claro. Me gusta la combinaci贸n de colores de este esp茅cimen, m谩s cuando Jordy lo coloca a la luz solar y resalta su verde brillante 馃.

<h4>Este tipo de cole贸ptero de la Familia <em>Scarabaeidae</em> es nativo de Am茅rica del Sur (Per煤, Bolivia, Chile y Argentina) y entre sus fronteras puede ser considerada como una especie invasora, pues sigue en investigaci贸n las coordenadas geogr谩ficas exactas de origen de este artr贸podo.</h4>
