A Week of Kindness

After 9-11, New York pedestrians started finding envelopes. They were on park benches, taped to subway windows, and suspended in trees at the parks.

The person would find a happy or uplifting note, a sweet drawing, or a couple dollars with "smile while you enjoy a coffee :)"

What started out as a few people wanting to do what they could, anything they could, to make sense of the chaos and perhaps bring a small ray of sunshine into a fellow mourners day, turned into a grassroots campaign and hundreds of these notes were found around the city as more and more people joined in.

I had never heard about that. How wonderful. I wish there was a feeling of common ground today (but without s precipitating tragic event), and that people would realize we can’t stand together as a county without an understanding that everyone is important. Everyone deserves respect.

I'm a professional writer. I have a couple columns, I write articles for a number of platforms, and I also write fiction books.

I **love** it!  I believe you have to love it, otherwise it shows negatively- your readers can feel what you portray, good or bad.

You can absolutely make a good logging as a writer. It is very hard work immorally- the first X amount of years are tough. But you get from it exactly what you put into it :)

Motivating but people don't really know that a simple smile can do a whole lot to a person's day. Sometimes when people become so aggressive to you as you walk past or as you go to buy something. Don't react negatively as you wouldn't know what that person is actually passing through. A simple act of kindness and love could change that person's life and you would never be forgotten in a hurry.

A great initiative indeed. If everyone thought like you ,the world would have been a better place to live in.Charity is not for self benefit! A small share sometime can play a big role to renovate someone's future..There are groups who live for themselves but there is always time and intention to be good. to think about others and to cherish them who actually deserves to smile.
