My Mom always told me that there are three sides to every story.  Between the two sides that are presented there is the truth. It is so easy to have our eyes coloured by what we perceive to see and what we believe that we hear. It is difficult to keep an open mind. Perhaps if we did there would be less misunderstandings, hatred and wars.

Welp, that story sure sent me onto the feels train :'(

I am getting addicted to your writing...

I think changing perspective is difficult for most of people mainly because it will force them out of their comfort zone.
We people find a meaning in this big world through our pre-shaped ideas.
When this ground shakes it is difficult for us to tell right from wrong.

As the cartoon says, *we are all at the same page of different book.*

It's true what you say, you should not jump to conclusions and always give the benefit of the doubt.  It's mostly not going to happen though.  At least from my experience with people.

Your other point brings up an interesting topic...

I would argue _not_  having this as open area of discussion in schools -and society generally, is possibly the reason for 99% of all the crap we have in society, from banks, to wars, to....there is no redemption for these people -they just destroy society.

It seems to me that you overstepped your boundaries as an editor. As a person who started this month, the group you represent @blue-pencil seems like a service with authority here in steemit. I’ve read several articles thanking you for your help.

A good well thought out post. In my experience the right way to approach anything is by being unbiased. It is so easy to go with the accepted narrative. There are always two sides to every story and the accepted one is not always right!

Perspective is extremely important... and I think a lot of people tend to forget that there are often more than two sides to a story. The two sides tend to be biased in their own ways... the third side merely observes the facts and events that unfold, and makes no judgment.

Its always very bad when one tend to judge before getting to knw a person. I persons perpective in life determines how you see things and it needs to be maintained

Perspective is really needed in our society today. People think that merely looking at somebody or something from the outside or from what they've heard, that they can fully understand it all, and thus, giving their very biased judgement.
The society needs to understand that it ain't always the way they perceive it, that there is always the **otherside**.
