This is an update post about our dungeons and dragons tabletop gaming room DIY project. Inculding the table and most of the minis are DIY which you can find at the end of this post.

# Never Use Cheap Products

For a little over 2 months I was working out of the country and before I left we had finished the room we had designed for the Dungeons and Dragons game. 
When I came back, we were going to start the game and start broadcasting. 
But I encountered a disgrace.

As soon as I came home, I was disappointed.

## A lot of tape had come off.

We wiped the wall with a cloth before sticking the tapes. But they still didn't stick. The guy who sold us the tape sold it at a very high price. If I had called him back, I would have fought too much, so I chose not to call him immediately. As you can see, all the tape came off. Not all of it, but a lot of it.

## Sound insulation professional team for our project and received consultancy service

After this incident, my friends and I had a long talk. I have to say that it felt terrible for all of us. How eagerly you want to start a project, but all your hard work goes to waste. Your efforts are wasted. It doesn't work because of a cheap bonding material. Anyway. 

My friends and I decided together and we agreed to spend some money. We're going to buy lights, we're going to buy microphones and we're going to invest in a lot of equipment. The list goes on and on with little things like a usb duplicator. 

But in order to reflect the quality we want to capture and the quality we want to start with, SOUND ISOLATION is a must. This is a MUST.
No matter how high quality the videos are, if the sound is not good, it will not be watched.
I want to introduce the game to new players and SOUND is a very important thing for me. Personally, I can't watch videos with bad sound either.

## We called two sound engineers

The company sent us two sound engineers. They explained to me very nicely what was necessary, what was unnecessary and what we needed to do. They explained that it would not be possible to solve the problem on the ceiling in this way. 
They said we need models that hang from the ceiling.
They told us that ceiling sound insulation makes it easier to solve other problems. Because the room is very high. I learned that a lot of money is spent on sound insulation for ceilings in places like shopping malls or CAFEs. It was actually a good thing that the room was high. But we had no other way to solve the ECHO problem. 
We learned that we had to buy a product called Acoustic Fabric Panels or Floating Ceiling Panels, Fabric coated acoustic panels. 

We ordered it. We will have a total cost of 500 dollars.

## The ugly blacks on the wall will also change

We also decided to change the big rectangular black ones on the wall.
We will remove them all and laser cut them into hexagons.

We learned that we could laser cut them into separate shapes, both aesthetically and sound design-wise, and that we could glue them together with the glue of our choice. Because the ones on the walls are harder to remove and fall off.

But they also suggested that we put felt under them. 
I will share with you again when we make the felt and the gluing project, probably in the coming days.

From now on, I will think FIVE times when using a cheap product. As you can see, we had to spend again. If we had started with a quality product from the beginning, we would be spending our money on buying light now.
