It is one of the places to absolutely visit if you decide to try your luck on a trip in what is indeed one of the most beautiful and evocative cities in the world. An imposing structure, which gives its name to the square in which it is located. From its domes to decorations, the appearance of the Basilica is an indication of the eastern influences that Venice has undergone throughout the centuries. The works for the construction of the Basilica of San Marco began in 828. The project was started by Doge Giustiniano Partecipazio. However, the current state is the result of two reconstructions. The first took place in 832, while the second in 978. The latter became necessary after the destruction of the church following a fire following a furious revolt. Therefore, it is possible to date the Basilica that thousands of tourists admire every day in 1063. Sin lugar a dudas. No es solo Venecia. En los alrededores está Mestre donde la fabricación del vidrio artístico es un verdadero arte. El Carnaval mismo es un espectáculo aparte. Desgraciadamente los turistas ven solo las góndolas y los canales. Gracias por comentar @cryptoxicate. Saludos
