Existen puntos clave esenciales para la prevención de dicha patología, en el caso de la silicosis es fundamental el llevar cierta protección para prevenir la inhalación de dicho polvo, así mismo se estaría evitando el poder contraer dicha patología.

Al saber que es una enfermedad que puede aparecer con la exposición del polvo de sílice es indispensable el poder prevenirla para así evitarla a toda costa. De la misma manera se implementan todas las medidas de bioseguridad que puedan favorecer su prevención para fomentar así la salud. En el caso del personal de enfermería especializado en áreas laborales éstos les indicarán al personal de las empresas el cómo cuidarse correctamente para así evitar contraer la patología, a esto se le conoce como enfermería ocupacional y preventiva.
