Momentum is building within the crypto gaming scene right now, including a substantial amount of content updates to the ongoing Chibi Fighters open beta.  For those who don't know, Chibi Fighters is a browser based MMO played with crypto collectable characters called _Chibi Fighters_.  Chibis gain experience through sparing with other player's characters (PVP) or through embarking on PVE idle adventures.  Experience points can then be used to gain skill levels and raise stats.

**NEW LOOT:**

Health, Energy and Hunter potions were introduced a few weeks ago as loot acquired through scavenging adventures.  At the time it was unclear what role these items would play, but their inclusion into the game foreshadowed future opportunities and scenarios for their use.

**NEW REWARDS:**

Potions were also made available through a new “Daily Reward” mechanic.  Once a day players may choose to claim that days reward.  Not only do players get a little more loot, but it also helps the Chibi Fighters community gain some visibility on sites, like dappradar, that track and list distributed apps by number of on-chain transactions.

**NEW ADVENTURE:**

The next big update from the Chibi Fighters team gave us a visual map of Chibi Island.  As you can see in the picture, this map holds several interactive locations.  Normal scavenging missions can be accessed by selecting the +1 spot in the middle, the one special adventure which is currently available, Chibi Cave, is labeled +3.

**CHIBI CAVE:**

To quest through Chibi Cave players will need to have at least one Chibi at skill level 3 or better, as well as some coin and a handful of the new potions.  Other than having level/item requirements, Chibi cave functions similar to a regular adventures, although three times as long, and providing special loot.  The most interesting recent update to Chibi’s Beta is this new loot.  When Chibis return from exploring Chibi Cave there is a chance that they will bring back some equippable armor.  To my knowledge this is the first appearance of equipable items in Chibi Fighters, and hints at the future RPG elements yet to come.



**MY OPINION:**

Chibi Fighters is a great way to kill some time,  it is a casual mix of the arena fighting and idle gaming genres.  Once you have your Chibi Fighter(s) there is no cost to play, you may actually make a little money playing it, if you are lucky.  Participating in this open beta is a rewarding experience, these updates are happening almost daily and there is always some new features to check out.

Crypto gaming has not yet hit mainstream, but my hope is that one day it will. The benefits of digital ownership and trustless contracts can forever change the gaming industry for the better.  In the hopes of maybe gaining one more member to the crypto-gaming community, I will be giving away a freshly born baby Chibi Fighter, so that someone new can try out this game.

6) There is no 6, that's it.  After about a week, if anyone has completed these steps I will manually pick a winner and make notifications.  At that point you can privately send me your address and I will send you a bouncing baby Chibi Fighter.

Keep in mind that Chibi Fighters can be played entirely without transaction fees, so you don't need to have anything in your wallet.  You have nothing to lose.  If by some freak accident this giveaway actually gets more than one interested applicant I will consider adding additional Chibi babies to the pot, but I am not rich so I can only promise the one.
