Ladies and gentlemen of Hive, I am back again. The topic of discussion today is about bullying. From what I have seen and heard, bullying is when a seemingly stronger person tramples on a weaker other. Trampling in the sense of being abusive physically and emotionally to the weaker person. 

It can also come in form of cyber or social media bully. A boss bullying his her her staffs can also be a way adults encounter bullying. A content creator can also be bullied online. All these have negative effects on the victim. Some even lead to death which is really scary and sad

I think it is more common in school because there is no way a child is not going to socialize in school. A child might not really have friends or relate with other children in the neighborhood, so it might not happen. 
Also, it is not only children that get bullied, adults too can fall victim of it.

The last time I could remember being bullied was when I was in elementary school. I got enrolled into a new school to continue to my classes. There is always this girl, the class monitor or captain as we use to have it. She always top the class in her subjects. So she now got so confident enough that nobody else can take it from her,so he didn't really study as hard and smart as she used to. She forgot a new student joined the school. Because she always top the class, she commands this respect among her classmates. They do anything she wants them to do. 

We started preparing for tests and exams. We did them and to everyone's surprise, she lost her number 1 position to me,and you know how class teachers then could be. She was all over the class that a new student is topping the class bla bla bla. This really made the girl uncomfortable. Little me, I never knew somebody was angry.

On closing from school that day, on my way home with the friends I have made. She just came to double cross me with her gang. They really threatened me, said all sort of things. She concluded that the next time I top the class, they will come back to beat me up. See me see wahala oo. I was shocked and little bit frightened. 

Subsequently in class, when we do tests, I will intentionally get some answers wrong and if the teacher asks questions, I would not raise my hand to answer questions.
I was not comfortable with that though and I got tired. I just gave it a thought again that, let her come and attack me first, we will both have a tug of war if she did. I just went back to my normal approach to questions. I started topping the class. 

Just like I expected, they came around again 😅. As she was about to start ranting, I just summoned the courage and talked back at her that, if she dared harm me, I will report her to the school authorities and to my parents. I added that if my parent should get involved, she will arrested and locked up in prison 😂😂. Could you believe my statement actually saved me that day and that was the last time she confronted me. 

**How to eradicate bullying **
In my opinion, bullies should be reported and punished. There should be a disciplinary action for people who are confirmed to be bullies. This will curb their acts of picking on anyone. Imagine if I had not stood up for myself I would have been beaten up but when I said she's going to be arrested and imprisoned, which is a kind of punishment made her stop.
