Esta película la vi el día de hoy porque varias personas en Twitter la aclamaban como una cinematografía perfecta para ver, que trae escenas de lo más de buenas de principio a fin, eso sin tomar en cuenta toda la calidad fotográfica, entre otras cosas que hacen de un largometraje algo divino de ver además de su trama, la cual, también se caracterizó por ser excelente, por eso tomé la decisión de verla hoy. Pero primero hablemos un poco de la sus componentes:

El titulo original en inglés es **The Menu**, su director es Mark Mylod, escrita por Seth Reiss y Will Tracy, y producida por Adam McKay, Betsy Koch y Will Ferrell, todos nombres, unos más que otros, de alto calibre dentro de la palestra de hollywood. 

**El Menú** salió al público el 10 de septiembre del año pasado en el Festival Internacional de Toronto y luego salió en cartelera a partir del 18 de noviembre también del pasado año (yo ese día andaba en el ExpoZulia, por eso seguro apenas la vi hoy). Estuvo en cines pero hoy en día la puedes ver también desde Star+, la filial de Disney+ donde puedes ver Grey's Anathomy y Los Simpsons, sin coste adicional. 

Sus actores principales, o más reconocidos, son Ralph Fiennes (sí, nuestro querido Lord Voldemore), Anya Taylor-Joy (a quien seguro conoces de Gambito de dama), Nicholas Hoult (quizá lo recuerdes de sus participaciones en la saga de X-Men) y John Leguizamo (seguro lo viste en el vídeo de Justin Bieber llamado "What do you mean?"), entre otras maravillosas estrellas que hicieron de este film se hiciera muchísimo más épico.

I saw this film today because several people on Twitter were hailing it as a perfect piece of cinematography to watch, which has some of the best scenes from beginning to end, not to mention all the quality photography, among other things that make a feature film something divine to watch in addition to its plot, which was also characteristically excellent, which is why I made the decision to watch it today. But first let's talk a bit about its components:

The original title is **The Menu**, directed by Mark Mylod, written by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy, and produced by Adam McKay, Betsy Koch and Will Ferrell, all names, some more than others, of high caliber within the Hollywood limelight. 

**The Menu** was released to the public on 10 September last year at the Toronto International Film Festival and then came out on 18 November last year (I was at ExpoZulia that day, so I'm sure I only saw it today). It was in cinemas but nowadays you can also watch it from Star+, the Disney+ affiliate where you can watch Grey's Anathomy and The Simpsons, at no extra cost. 

Its main, or more recognisable, actors are Ralph Fiennes (yes, our beloved Lord Voldemore), Anya Taylor-Joy (who I'm sure you know from Lady Gambit), Nicholas Hoult (you may remember him from his appearances in the X-Men saga) and John Leguizamo (you may have seen him in Justin Bieber's video called "What do you mean?"), among other wonderful stars who made this film all the more epic.

Para quienes me conocen de cerca (es decir, mi mamá y mi novia porque no es algo que suelo decir), a mi me gustan demasiado las películas y series sobre comida, cocina, entre otros temas relacionados a este mundo y cuando buscaba algo para ver mientras almorzábamos en casa como de costumbre, no pudo no ver esta película ¡Solo que nunca me imaginé lo que pasaría! 😱

Como dice [su ficha en IMDb](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9764362/), la película es de comedia, terror y suspenso, y creo que eso le queda corto porque es una película que te deja con muchos sentimientos encontrados, entre esos rabia e impotencia, lo que te demuestra que todos sus actores son excelentísimos debido a que son capaces de hacer que sientas esa montaña rusa de reacciones debido a sus acciones dentro del largometraje. 

Al principio parece una película independiente de esas que a lo mejor no vas a ver porque te aburrirían y decides dejarla por los actores de renombre que hay, así que sigues viendo y en lo que llegan a la isla, poco después, es que sabes porque a todos les gustó la película. Admito que nos tensamos bastante porque como dice su ficha, es de suspenso y lo logra desde el principio hasta el último segundo del final.

La banda sonora junto con todos los elementos de la película te transportan a ella de una forma increíble y no dejarás de verla porque siempre querrás más de lo que está pasando. 

Hay escenas puntuales y parte de la trama que me dejaron con algo de duda, y por eso en un par de días la veré de nuevo a ver si fue que no lo capté de primera instancia pero la resolución de todo al final por parte de la protagonista fue bastante estratégica aunque te deja con dudas el final sobre el destino de todos.

Quisiera poder decirte más pero creo que sería spolearte más de lo que lo hará el trailer que dejaré a continuación, sin embargo, algo que puedo agregarte es que los platos hechos en este restaurante te van a sorprender en sus descripciones, así que debes leerlos muy muy bien para entender qué sigue a continuación o tener al menos una remota idea de eso, así que si mis palabras no te han convencido, te dejo el trailer para que pases a verla pronto por Star+ o en el cine.

For those who know me closely (that is, my mum and my girlfriend because it's not something I usually say), I love movies and series about food, cooking, among other topics related to this world and when I was looking for something to watch while we were having lunch at home as usual, I couldn't miss this movie. I just never imagined what would happen! 😱

As it says [its IMDb listing](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9764362/), the film is a comedy, horror and thriller, and I think that's an understatement because it's a film that leaves you with a lot of mixed feelings, among those anger and helplessness, which shows you that all the actors are excellent because they are able to make you feel that rollercoaster of reactions due to their actions within the film. 

At the beginning it seems like one of those indie films that you might not watch because it would bore you and you decide to leave it because of the big name actors, so you keep watching and by the time they get to the island, shortly after, you know why everyone liked the film. I'll admit we were pretty tense because as its tag says, it's suspenseful and it succeeds from the beginning to the last second of the end.

The soundtrack along with all the elements of the film transport you to the film in an incredible way and you won't stop watching it because you will always want more of what is going on. 

There are specific scenes and parts of the plot that left me with some doubt, and so in a couple of days I will watch it again to see if I didn't get it in the first instance but the resolution of everything at the end by the protagonist was quite strategic although it leaves you with doubts about the fate of all.

I wish I could tell you more but I think that would be spoiling you more than the trailer I'll leave below, however, one thing I can add is that the dishes made in this restaurant will surprise you in their descriptions, so you must read them very very well to understand what comes next or have at least a remote idea of that, so if my words haven't convinced you, I leave you the trailer so you can go see it soon on Star+ or in the cinema.
