Facebook Improved its Hashtag’s Logarithm to Increase Organic Reach.

Facebook introduced hashtags in its platform back in 2013. But a lot of people observed that using hashtags on Facebook before actually do you no good to your posts. In fact, unlike Twitter and Instagram, a Facebook post with a lot of hashtags just looks silly. Now that will change a lot since Facebook announced back in May that it will improve logarithm to increase organic reach when you are using hashtags on Facebook.

This move is in line with Facebook’s agenda of making the platform a small business’s friendly. If you are frequently visiting the platform lately, you will notice an increase in market activities on everyone’s timeline. Facebook actually encourages such activities ushering to their intention of becoming also an online selling platform. It is soon to be a place of not only saying hi to family and friends but also to buy stuff.

### Queen of Facebook
I first heard of this Facebook update from Mari Smith dubbed as the “Queen of Facebook”. If you are into Facebook marketing she’s an authority you should listen to. And here are her valuable tips on what to do on this said update:
> 🔹 Find hashtags by typing in the search bar, just like on Instagram.
🔹 Unlike on Instagram, Facebook hashtag feeds do not show the number of hashtags, or related hashtags. Nor can you follow a hashtag… yet!
🔹 The posts you see in Facebook hashtag feed pages are only publicly visible posts from profiles and pages, and from friends if shared to friends only. (In other words, you won’t see every single post on FB using that tag due to privacy settings of the content owner).

> 🔹 Definitely start including hashtags in your Facebook posts now!
🔹 Build your own groups of hashtags to paste into various posts for specific purposes, just like on Instagram.
🔹 Try using Instagram’s search to discover the right hashtags for you, including related hashtags. (Meaning, do your Facebook hashtag research on Insta!)

> 🔹 How many hashtags should you include in your Facebook posts? As many as you want! (The character limit for Facebook posts is a whopping 63,206!) But, generally, I would suggest adding 3-5 key hashtags. And then maybe expanding to 10-15 if you wish. More if you really want. Test to see what works.

> 🔥 HOT TIP: You might consider going back through some of your best performing Facebook posts and ADDING hashtags!!
