So I have been hard at work over the past two weeks making a few pages I have been commissioned to draw, I have been given permission to use this picture of a mermaid as it wasn't what my client wanted.

I was given a list of items for an under the sea colouring book for children and to come up with the images they would later use.

This one I'm afraid didn't make the cut but I thought it would be good if I showed my steemit followers a bit of my work.

I start by sketching out the idea in 2b pencil, I do it just light enough to see the lines.

Then if this was going to the client I would clean the image and pop them in an envelope and they would get sent in the post. they would then scan them and turn them into digital, they would do miner changers and they would get published in their next colouring book.

Interesting hay? I normally use freelancer.com or upwork.com to find jobs to do. but recently I have been using steemit that much that I have failed to bid on any work.
This is the first one i have done in the last 4 months, so it was well over due.

The pay isn't brilliant, as normally its schools who commissioned me to do these sorts of things so I look at about £15 per picture and each one can take 4 to 8 hours to draw up some times more.

I will be posting more of these as I bid for more work.
