# What is Publicity?

Publicity is gaining public visibility or awareness for a product, service or your company via the media or any other Platform for that Matters.

Now Publicity can work in two ways either it could be Good Publicity or it Could be Bad Publicity. It is kinda obvious that we would love to have the Good Publicity rather than the Bad one. That being said there is a saying that goes like this

>Any Publicity is Good Publicity.

So it doesn't matter if it's Bad or Good any form of Publicity acts in your Own favour a bit. That being said I do feel it's important to get Good Publicity rather than the Bad one simply because of the fact that it's good to be Remembered for the Good things you have done rather than the Bad things.

I for once would love to get some Good Publicity Going my Way for once. Limelight is a Fickle thing it comes and Goes and I wouldn't mind to bathe in it for a While.

very apt , but i would also like to add that most time bad publicity is good especially for those in the show biz, not for product and services category anyway. most times this people do weird things so they could be in the news (bad publicity) cos they believe getting famous= riches and rightly so
