Change on Coinpayments: KYC

I don-t want to hear that&how&but we are not doing that. I know that majority are not doing it. For me it depends on a service. And this one is getting a little bit odd.

To verify identity on Coinpayments you need to provide:

> - Identity document - Provide your identity document (Passport, ID card, Residence permit, Driver's license) for visual scanning. Ensure that it is not expired or physically damaged.
> - Selfie - Go through our liveness-detection check. This involves turning your head in front of a camera for a few minutes.
> - Proof of residence - Provide a proof of address (not older than 3 month(s)) for visual scanning. Ensure that your full name and address are on the document.
> - Applicant data - Input your basic information (name, address, email, telephone number, etc.)
> - Questionnaire - Fill out a questionnaire about your financial background.

Can we all agree this is absurdly too much?

With only two documents an individual can verify identity and get a loan online.

There is a full tutorial how to do it on their blog [CoinPayments Identity Verification (KYC) Tutorial - How to Complete Your Verification Process | CoinPayments](https://blog.coinpayments.net/resources/coinpayments-identity-verification-kyc-tutorial-how-to-complete-your-verification-process) but there is no single mention of the customer protection or how the documents are handled. In no way they mention that the provided documents will be safe or not shared/sold to third parties.

I am not sure that I want to go in that direction with a website that is a bit sus.

Who guarantees any safety of our data?

> We may, at any time and in our sole discretion and without liability to you, with or without notice, suspend, restrict, or terminate your access

Well, that solves it with me.

This could be the easiest way to charge anything as I have EcWid shop and payments are super easy with the integrated Coinpayments.

I would rather trust non-custodian wallet which keys I actually own, pay no fees other than the necessary ones, and keep my coins safe.

Also, United States is on the list of banned countries? How? Who owns this thing?
