New Editor is a beast, but...

<p>Missing markdown functionality in comments. there's only RAW HTML(?) - hope there are no crossover exploits possible or some trolling stuff with HTML.</p>
<p>I'd like to set comments to start in markdown by default (cause I'm faster that way for example)- could you add settings for default view stuff?</p>

Looks like you can click "markdown" to the right, **before** you start typing anything into the box, and then you're back to the old editor that allows markdown and a preview.
