We are at the end of a year

We are at the end of a year,  
we can already see their suitcases,  
gnawed by the heavy journey,  
laden with laughter and sorrow.  
The streets are bursting with shopping,  
a hustle and bustle that never dies down,  
the rush embraces the passers-by,  
life in an instant unfolds.  
Time has completed its cycle,  
like shadows in a frenzied dance,  
every second is a sigh,  
each clock, a poetic line.  
The lights twinkle like stars,  
in the background, the echo of a toast,  
we remember what's left,  
the dreams, the promises, the endless.  
And in the lull of this night  
while the world spins in its dance,  
we reflect on what we have lived,  
the longings, the love, the hope.
