I'm going to write something about BCS. BCS is the common and well-known word in our country. most of the students want to BCS cadre. well, I have little bit idea about this.
The meaning of BCS is Bangladesh Civil Service. It's the most competitive exam in Bangladesh which is conducted by Bangladesh public service commission. BPSC is the main setting and collection body of bcs. it organized from the central service of Pakistan and the former of British compire controlled by Indian civil service. since 1971, it has been known as Bangladesh civil service.
BCS has 27 cadre service . General cadres :
bcs administration, bcs audit and account , bcs anser, bcs customs and duty, bcs cooperative, bcs food, bcs foreign sservice, bcs family planing, bcs information , bcs postel, bcs police, bcs tax, bcs commerce, bcs economics.
Professional cadres: Bcs agriculture, Bcs health, Bcs fisheries, bcs informationą„¤ technical, bcs road and highways, bcs public health, bcs general education and government college's, bcs general education teachers training colleges.
Eligibility for bcs exam:
Nationality : only Bangladeshi citizens can attend this exam.
Age: 21 to 30 years (For general candidates )
Academic study : Master's degree or 4 years bachelor's degree after completing hsc lavel. (not allow third division)
Quota distribution :
@ Merit: 45%
@District: 55%
# freedom fighters or freedom fighters son/ daughter : 30%
# Female : 10%
# tribal : 5%
# disability : 1%
@ district : 10%
Examination process : Exam is conducted in three phases such as
1) Preliminary examination ( 200 marks)
2) Written examination ( 800 marks )
3) viva voce ( Interview)
