In questo mese e mezzo infilato fra la stagione estiva e la vacanza nel Caribe mi sono trovato a guardare la televisione piu' del solito, cercando di limitarmi alle cose decenti fra la varieta' enorme di merda che, pagando un canone o no, ci ritroviamo a dover sorbire.
Un film mi ha colpito “Cose dell'altro mondo”.
Film italiano con Diego Abatantuono e Valerio Mastrandrea, due dei pochissimi attori nostrani che apprezzo.
Buona idea, si sviluppa discretamente per poi perdere un po' di spinta nel finale, forse il budget era finito.
Ambientato in un paese del rigoglioso Veneto, Abatantuono e' un imprenditore di successo, razzista e probabilmente leghista.
Durante una trasmissione televisiva si lascia andare a una serie di frasi contro gli immigrati tipo “se non gli va bene come e' qua' prendano la barchetta e tornino a casa” oppure “vengono qua' a rubare lavoro ai nostri”.
Mastrandrea e' un poliziotto di Roma in vacanza nel paese per trovare la propria madre malata assistita h24 da una badante, ha una ex fidanzata che ora e' incinta di un ragazzo africano.
Dopo le dichiarazioni televisive dell'imprenditore leghista c'e' una notte di grandi temporali, la mattina dopo tutti ma proprio tutti gli stranieri, gli immigrati, sono spariti nel nulla.
Il paese ma anche tutta l'italia si svegliano senza piu' uno straniero, legale o illegale che sia.
Nella fabbriche restano solo gli operai veneti, tutti avanti negli anni e privi di specializzazione, quindi la produzione si ferma, uguale nelle altre fabbriche della zona.
Migliaia di anziani restano soli perche' non ci sono piu' badanti, i/le figli/e devono restare a casa dal lavoro perche' piu' nessuno bada ai loro genitori.
Chi aveva una cameriera o una donna delle pulizie straniera si deve riabituare a pulire e cucinare.
Gli ospedali vanno in tilt perche nessuno pulisce piu' e mancano gli infermieri, molti negozi e ristoranti non aprono perche' non hanno piu' personale, il campionato di calcio si ferma perche' le rose sono decimate, il pane è razionato, nessuno raccoglie piu' la frutta e la verdura nei campi.'
L' imprenditore stesso, e' disperato perche' e sparita pure la puttana nigeriana di cui era innamorato, non a caso va a piangere sotto il traliccio dove lei abitualmente batteva.
Siamo sicuri che fosse solo un film?

In this month and a half sandwiched between the summer season and the holiday in the Caribbean I found myself watching television more than usual, trying to limit myself to the decent things among the enormous variety of shit that, paying a fee or not, we find ourselves to have to put up with.
A film struck me: “Things from the Other World”.
Italian film with Diego Abatantuono and Valerio Mastrandrea, two of the very few local actors that I appreciate.
Good idea, it develops discreetly and then loses a bit of momentum at the end, perhaps the budget was over.
Set in a town in the lush Veneto, Abatantuono is a successful entrepreneur, racist and probably a member of the Northern League.
During a television program he lets loose a series of phrases against immigrants such as "if they don't like where it is here, they can take the boat and go home" or "they come here to steal jobs from our people".
Mastrandrea is a policeman from Rome on holiday in the country to find his sick mother assisted 24 hours a day by a carer, he has an ex-girlfriend who is now pregnant with an African boy.
After the Northern League businessman's televised declarations there is a night of great storms, the next morning all but absolutely all the foreigners, the immigrants, have disappeared into thin air.
The country but also all of Italy wake up without a foreigner, whether legal or illegal.
Only the Venetian workers remain in the factories, all advanced in years and without specialization, so production stops, the same as in the other factories in the area.
Thousands of elderly people are left alone because there are no more carers, their children have to stay home from work because no one looks after their parents anymore.
Anyone who had a foreign maid or cleaning lady must get used to cleaning and cooking again.
Hospitals go haywire because no one cleans anymore and there is a shortage of nurses, many shops and restaurants don't open because they no longer have staff, the football championship stops because the roses are decimated, bread is rationed, no one collects anymore 'fruits and vegetables in the fields.'
The entrepreneur himself, is desperate because the Nigerian whore he was in love with has also disappeared, and it is no coincidence that he goes to cry under the pylon where she usually beat.
