¿Les ha sucedido que ante algún acontecimiento se sienten sumamente dichosos y a la vez con ese dejo de tristeza que los inquieta?

Son muchas las situaciones que pueden desencadenar en nosotros sentimientos encontrados, esa sensación agridulce en el corazón y que debemos empezar a aceptar como normales ante ciertos estímulos y que mientras no nos quedemos a “vivir” en esa ambigüedad de sentimientos, todo está bien.

Reciénteme experimenté esa sensación. Y los que tengan familiares viviendo fuera del país lo podrán entender perfectamente. En mi caso, tengo una familia pequeña, sin embargo, nunca nos habíamos separado. Siempre vi a los demás que contaban sus experiencias de separación con un pequeño susto en el pecho de que un día me fuera a tocar a mí. Y llegó el día. Mi hermano mayor junto a su familia emigró a España este año. Aparte de la obvia tristeza inicial, no me había sentido con esta dualidad de emociones hasta hace poco en las que nos comentó que por fin había conseguido el empleo ideal con un contrato sin vencimiento, indefinido. </div>

Cuando nos contó fue un momento de algarabía familiar, audios, video llamadas, muchas felicitaciones y stickers de celebración iban y venían a través de WhatsApp.

Al terminar las comunicaciones, me senté en mi sofá con una enorme sonrisa en el rostro al imaginarlo dando saltos de felicidad y cumpliendo sus sueños. Al cabo de un tiempo, me empezó a retumbar en la cabeza la palabra indefinido. Indeterminado, que no tiene fin. Y fue entonces cuando me comenzaron a surgir una serie de sentimientos encontrados.

Pienso que todos los que hemos experimentado la disgregación familiar por temas migratorios deseamos en lo profundo de nuestros corazones que les vaya bien, que prosperen, que disfruten sus nuevas experiencias y sobre manera que alcancen esa sensación de realización personal que quizás los obligó{o a marcharse. Sin embargo también creo que por allá en el fondo también tenemos la esperanza o el anhelo de que las cosas vuelvan a ser como un día lo fueron.

I think that all of us who have experienced family disintegration due to migration issues wish in the depths of our hearts that they do well, that they prosper, that they enjoy their new experiences and above all that they reach that sense of personal fulfillment that perhaps forced them to leave. However, I also believe that deep down we also have the hope or the longing for things to return to the way they once were.

Llegar a la comprensión y al entendimiento necesario que nos lleve a la aceptación de la nueva realidad quizás no sea fácil, pero es una “tarea” que tenemos todos. Con el  tiempo quizás venga la costumbre y las videollamadas, los audios y los stikers animados sustituyan un poco los abrazos, y el toparse a cada rato con las diferencia en los husos horarios se convierta en un recordatorio constante de la bifurcación en los caminos.

Aprender a identificar las emociones es importante y necesario, exteriorizarlas, también. Entender que como dijo alguna vez Heráclito, Todo fluye; Todo cambia; Nada permanece nos conecta con el ahora, y cuando estamos con atención plena al presente, todo es más llevadero y expansivo.
Reprimir las emociones termina enfermando, el cuerpo la mente y el alma, poder hacer catarsis en una espacio inmutable como este es una gran ejercicio y un viaje al autoconocimiento de la mano de la expansión. Muchas gracias por el espacio.

> Learning to identify emotions is important and necessary, externalizing them, too. Understanding that as Heraclitus once said, Everything flows; Everything changes; Nothing remains connects us with the now, and when we are fully attentive to the present, everything is more bearable and expansive.

> Repressing emotions ends up making us sick, body, mind and soul, to be able to do catharsis in an immutable space like this is a great exercise and a journey to self-knowledge by the hand of expansion. Thank you very much for the space.
