Frame racks and grounding. Porch building continues

As long as the weather allows, I continue to build porch. But before proceeding to the floor and roof, it was necessary to do one important little thing that I had been planning for a long time - to make grounding in the house.

It's not a tricky thing, to hammer some metal pin into the ground, attach a cable to it and connect wires in the switch box.

According to the local rules, not one pin is needed for grounding, but 3 connected to each other, at a certain distance, etc. But this is my house, I built it myself and I can get away from the rules a little. I already had experience using grounding with one pin and everything worked great, so I settled on this option.

I just have a part from some old tractor. I found it in the woods. It is a little rusty, but after a little processing with the help of a grinder, it has acquired a normal appearance.

The place where the cable will be screwed, also had to be processed a little and sawn in order for the pressure washers to fit completely to the pin, providing better current conductivity.

And finally a sledgehammer. A few seconds and the pin was driven into the ground by 1 meter.

I chose a place not far from the input cable, so that it would be more convenient to get the grounding wire into the house to the switch box. As a result, it turned out like this.

It remains to buy the necessary cable and connect it in the switch-box. Unfortunately, I did not find a cable with suitable cross-section. In the switch-box itself, I have already mounted the grounding bus and connected the cables from the sockets to it.

The next stage of work was the installation of frame racks. In general, it would be more correct to assemble walls on the ground, but my material is very heavy and wall in 9 meters long and almost 2 meters high I just can't lift, even with the help of my wife. So I decided to build it piece by piece.

It turned out to be pretty good, I think :)

In general, the work is progressing. Not as fast as I would like, but I think I will have time before the fall.
