Today I will digress a little from the topic of construction. Several years ago I published a [post](https://peakd.com/diy/@astrizak/handmade-spotlight) about handmade spotlight. I made it, but I practically didn't use and all these years it just lay in the closet. Now it gets dark early and milking goats in the dark is not very convenient, so I decided to use this handmade spotlight. But...  Its glass was broken. I cut out a diffuser from the remnants of transparent polycarbonate, but another misfortune happened - when working for more than 5 minutes, the LED began to overheat.  I screwed it onto the radiator, but when heated, the metal expanded, the bolts jumped out of the slots and the contact of the diode with the radiator was broken and the LED went out. I tried to remedy the situation, but unfortunately I could not securely fix the diode on the radiator and the resistor inside the case was getting pretty warm and I did not figure out how to dissipate its heat. In general, after digging around, I spat on it and bought a new spotlight. Fortunately, it costs only $5  I mounted new spotlight on the wall of the workshop so that it would shine on the goat's barn.  And to turn it on, I used such a remote switch. It works at a decent distance and allowed me to turn on the spotlight from home (40 meters away)  The luminous flux from new spotlight is certainly not as powerful as from my handmade one, but it works and does not overheat.  Maybe someday I will modify the handmade spotlight an it will work as supposed.
