From my vantage point, it seems that Steemit is dead.
There are articles here that get over 1500 likes, yet make less than 15 dollars. Yikes.
This happened with Sola.ai -- You could get tens or hundreds of thousands of their credits, hundreds of likes, but the payout would be like $0.0015 dollars.
I saw a user there who's been blogging regularly for 4 years, and her total payout was $10.

If you can't truly live on the revenue from the platform, there's no reason to stay since unless you're living in a tent on some land, these revenues aren't going to do ANYTHING beyond becoming another rat race.
Hmm.
And speaking of rat race, the communities that I've found for meeting locals, are all being taken over and used for money. People begging, asking for CashApp, selling premium snapchats. There's no humanity in it anymore, it seems.
Well, at least with my communities I plan to bring it down to Earth with everybody and be human, not a bank account.
