So just what am I talking about. It's an ancient concept, dating back to the Indigenous peoples in America, or even further back? I'm not entirely sure. I'm sure the concept has been around for as long as we have been farming.

How does this apply to what we do here? Or has the cheese slid further off my cracker? Well, don't call the men with the butterfly nets just yet. I will try to make sense here.
The corn stalks provide a structure for the beans to grow big and strong on. The beans provide nitrogen for the soil and other plants to grow and the squash prevent weeds from growing.
On their own, they'll do ok and possibly thrive. They are better together. How can we then apply that here?
1) The corn: Steem/ CTPtalk/ Palnet etc are all the stalk or structure for good growth and support.
You all as curators are a big part of that. By voting and encouraging people to grow bigger and stronger.
2) The beans: That could be the content creators. Without content, there is little to grow and thereby feed the "soil" which encourages more growth.
3) The Squash: This is a mix of all of those elements working together. One could take the weeds to be bad content.
As I and others have said here. Bad content is in the eye of the beholder or curator. Plagiarized works are always weeds. There is no reason or excuse to not credit someone else for their work and co-opting it as your own. Also, as it has also been said, no one is expecting Tolstoy here. Write good stuff and people will reward you for it. Write mediocre stuff and you will most likely not.
I always try to write what I consider and hope will be helpful or at least mildly amusing in some way. Is everyone going to like it or laugh at my dad jokes (for which I make no apologies, ever) So, get out there and be the best corn/bean/squash you can be. The better one does, the better we all do.
