Ahoy! In my previous blog post I mentioned that Team GO Rocket have decided to strike during the Power Plant Event. There are some new line-ups. I believe that the Rocket Grunt with Snorlax is still there, because my previous battle party for the Grunt that says "Winning is for winners" etc, was different from what I use for the one with Snorlax. That's why I think there is one that says that with the Snorlax line-up and one with the Johto starters and their evolutions.

I showed a Shadow Electrode that I got from my first Rocket Grunt with that line-up. So after catching more Shadow Voltorb I purified one of them and evolved that one into Electrode for the whole evolution line.

The Johto starters are all appearing in the Grass, Fire and Water-type Rocket Grunts. From my experience all of them are starting with either Bulbasaur or Chikorita for the Grass-types; Charmander or Cyndaquil for the Fire-types; and Squirtle or Totodile for the Water-types.

I've encountered a few of these already, except for Totodile I have only encountered one in that evolution line so far. For these I don't have that much Candy, just over 1000 and even less than that for the Cyndaquil evolution line. That's why I decided I'll just evolve one all the way to Meganium, Typhlosion and Feraligatr and then Purify them. That way I'd have all the final evolutions Purified in my Pokédex. Following that I then Purified one of the first stage and evolved into the next one. Except for Totodile because I only encountered one so far. When I'll encounter another one I'll Purify it and evolve into Croconaw.

Up next are Whismur and Hippopotas. I've encountered two of both so far, which is just enough to have their whole evolution lines. I evolved one Whismur all the way to Exploud and then Purified it. The other one I purified like that and then evolved to Loudred. For Hippowdon I evolved one and Purified it, then Purified the other Hippopotas too.

Now I have all these new Shadow Pokémon in the Pokédex already. Just missing another Shadow Totodile to Purify and get Purified Totodile and Croconaw.

Honestly I might have been better off just doing one Purify on the first stage and evolving twice, compared to the way I did it this time. Because it is a bit of a waste of Stardust when I purify them twice 😅 Except for Whismur as that one is 1,000 Stardust to Purify and I use those all the time to slowly work on the Purifier Medal as they're the cheapest.

I haven't taken the ones being used by the Team Leaders into account in this post, because they've already been available as Shadow Pokémon. Although Bagon might not have been for that long as a friend said he'd never seen one before. I did show him the one I still had in storage from quite sometime ago.
