Have you ever had to explain or express your bitterness to someone in order to relieve yourself of some of the bother, sadness and burden and they end up making you feel like "oh I have/had the same experience " and the whole thing ends up being like a competition of who has had the most painful experience? The funny thing is, when they start doing that I either end up being sober, angrier or tempted to just shout at them and walk out.  A few days ago, we all experience a Bitcoin plunge to $17,000 and so many investors also watched their assets plunge along with it. Also, the crypto industry was in turmoil as the crypto exchange was laying off staff, accusations flying around and some were claiming redevelopment but now everywhere seems calm a little bit because it climbed up above $20,000 and its current price is at $21,410 according to coinmarketcap. Yesterday, I came across a friend I haven’t seen in months but we do chat once in a red moon. So we were discussing the economy, inflation, election and then crypto, we went further to talk about how the crypto market wasn’t friendly and bleeding after every little patch it made so I went ahead in telling him about how people have to complain about their money was lost during the LUNA crash and the Bitcoin bear market and I also chipped in my money lost, this is where it gets interesting. For some unknown reason his tone changed, he started talking about how he lost thousands of dollars to the dip and how he has fixed his car and how he has pending bills also like I was begging him to send me cash. I don’t know if I am overthinking it but from his reaction and tone, he felt like I was driving towards a “lend me some cash speech”, well I just pretended as if I didn’t know what he was trying to do and just played along in sympathising and empathising with him. Well, it is what it is, if not for Hive/HBD it would have been a different story now because Hive really sustained and took care of some basic stuff when I even had no one to call so that’s why I got getting irritated with him making all those complaints about himself. In the end, I just laughed it off and drifted away from the whole crypto conversation into another topic.
