<div class="text-justify">Hola queridos amigos amantes de las series y de las películas. El día de hoy les compartiré mi reseña a la segunda temporada de White Lotus, una serie estadounidense que se ganó mi corazón con la primera edición. Sin embargo, la nueva temporada es un poco diferente.

<div class = pull-left><div class="text-justify">El hospedaje en el White Lotus de Italia más allá de ser glamuroso, estará lleno de intriga, misterio, traición, y mucho más drama que lo que vimos en Hawái. Solo dos personajes de la temporada pasada se repiten: la amada Tanya, y Greg, una pareja icónica en todo el desarrollo de la historia. 
La temporada está cargada a mi parecer, de muchas metáforas, de silencios que lo dicen todo y de mucha complicidad. Si te animas a verla, no olvides dejar de lado las comparaciones con lo que viste en Hawái, realmente son dos temporadas muy diferentes y con matices que hacen mucho contraste. </div></div><div class = pull-right><div class="text-justify">Staying at the White Lotus in Italy, beyond being glamorous, will be full of intrigue, mystery, betrayal, and much more drama than what we saw in Hawaii. Only two characters from last season are repeated: the beloved Tanya, and Greg, an iconic couple throughout the unfolding story. 
The season is loaded in my opinion, with many metaphors, silences that say it all and a lot of complicity. If you dare to watch it, don't forget to leave aside the comparisons with what you saw in Hawaii, they really are two very different seasons and with nuances that make a lot of contrast.</div></div>

# LO MALO | THE BAD

<div class = pull-left><div class="text-justify">La última recomendación que les dejé en la sinopsis yo no la seguí por eso se lo recomiendo a ustedes para que no se den golpes de pecho, algo que me pasa mucho ja, ja, ja. Yo esperaba una temporada similar a lo que vi en la primera, es más pensé que saldrían más personajes repetidos. Y no sucedió por eso pensé cuando vi la serie sentía frustración y la comparé mucho con su edición anterior. 
Logré querer un poco la temporada, pero iré al grano de lo que no me gustó. Entiendo que al ser una serie antológica siempre nos presentará nuevos lugares, personajes e historias. Sin embargo, esta temporada es mucho más fría, es más si tuviese que describirla con colores sería totalmente un Azul de Prusia, casi metálico. Mientras que la primera temporada un Mostaza vibrante (tal y como lo escogí para la portada de mi reseña anterior). </div></div><div class = pull-right><div class="text-justify">The last recommendation I left in the synopsis I didn't follow it, that's why I recommend it to you so you don't beat your chest, something that happens to me a lot ha, ha, ha, ha. I was expecting a season similar to what I saw in the first one, I even thought that more characters would be repeated. And it didn't happen that's why I thought when I saw the series I felt frustration and compared it a lot with its previous edition.
I managed to love the season a little bit, but I'll get to the point of what I didn't like. I understand that being an anthology series it will always introduce us to new places, characters and stories. However, this season is much colder, indeed if I had to describe it with colors it would be totally a Prussian Blue, almost metallic. While the first season a vibrant Mustard (as I chose it for the cover of my previous review).</div></div>

<div class = pull-left><div class="text-justify">Los personajes no son tan pintorescos, son más serios, hasta Tanya se ve más lúgubre con sus outfits coloridos al estilo de Pepa Pig. Si nos detenemos a ver el flyer, hay mucho color en él, pero me llama la atención la franja verdusca, con la falta de color se nos da un mensaje de misterio. No soy experta en colorimetría en el cine o con las series solo intento explicarles cómo percibí esta edición. Porque el misterio estuvo interesante pero como lo ven en el flyer hay dos grupos y me centraré en el primero liderado por los Babcock y los Spiller, estas dos parejas fueron las que más me hicieron sufrir positivamente por la carga de drama implícita en sus historias. Y toda la seriedad de la misma, tiene rostro: Harper Spiller.</div></div><div class = pull-right><div class="text-justify">The characters are not so colorful, they are more serious, even Tanya looks more gloomy with her colorful Pepa Pig style outfits. If we stop to look at the flyer, there is a lot of color in it, but I am struck by the greenish stripe, with the lack of color it gives us a message of mystery. I am not an expert in colorimetry in cinema or with series, I am just trying to explain how I perceived this edition. Because the mystery was interesting but as you can see in the flyer there are two groups and I will focus on the first one led by the Babcocks and the Spillers, these two couples were the ones that made me suffer the most positively because of the drama implicit in their stories. And all the seriousness of it, has a face: Harper Spiller.</div></div>
 
<div class = pull-left><div class="text-justify">Aunque dije que los Babcock y los Spiller me hicieron sufrir, en ellos encontré un poco más de coherencia que lo que estaban viviendo los Di Grasso y Portia. Éste último grupo me pareció bastante absurdo. Para ser sincera no disfrutaba verlos en pantalla.</div></div><div class = pull-right><div class="text-justify">Although I said that the Babcocks and the Spillers made me suffer, I found a little more coherence in them than what the Di Grasso's and Portia's were going through. The latter group seemed rather absurd to me. To be honest I didn't enjoy watching them on screen.</div></div>

Entre los tantos personajes que aparecen, debo decir que la más decepcionante, para mí, fue: Portia. Sí, siento que su papel era exactamente como lo vi y quizá logró su cometido. Pero el final me pareció aún más desleal. La personalidad de Portia la lleva a lugares que no fueron sorpresa, sabía que sus decisiones silenciosas decían más que cuando verbalizaba. Y cuando conoció al fuckboy dije “esto se j0dió”, ja, ja, ja… sorry, pero detesté eso. 
 

>Among the many characters that appear, I must say that the most disappointing, for me, was: Portia. Yes, I feel that her role was exactly as I saw it and perhaps it achieved its purpose. But the ending seemed even more disloyal to me. Portia's personality takes her to places that were no surprise, I knew her silent decisions said more than when she verbalized. And when she met the fuckboy I said "this got f0cked", ha ha ha ha...sorry, but I hated that. </div>
 
## Valentina:
Me encantó la caracterización de la actriz, su rigidez, su sinceridad impertinente la disfruté, fue parte del humor negro que me enganchó de la primera temporada. Pero la debo mencionar entre lo malo porque no me gustó que repitieran la misma fórmula para la gerencia del Hotel. Porque uno cae en la comparación. 

>I loved the characterization of the actress, her stiffness, her impertinent sincerity, I enjoyed it, it was part of the black humor that hooked me in the first season. But I must mention it among the bad because I didn't like that they repeated the same formula for the Hotel management. Because one falls into the comparison.

# LO BUENO | THE GOOD:

<div class="text-justify">No les mentiré es una excelente serie, solo no es tan pintoresca ni tan fresca como me pareció la anterior. En esta se sufre un poco más, como dije en la sinopsis hay muchos silencios que hablan por sí solos en la trama. Y la picardía entre los personajes también es disfrutable. 
El drama en el que me centré fue en el de los Babcock y los Spiller me pareció de lo más peculiar el contraste de los personajes, la dinámica entre ellos, los secretos, y claramente el arco de la historia. Porque era ver cómo se deshojaban frente a nosotros con cada capítulo y cuando llegamos al centro ¡Wow!, quedaron totalmente descosidos, expuestos ante nosotros y es más solo nosotros fuimos testigos de uno de los secretos. Lo amé. 

>I won't lie to you, it's an excellent series, it's just not as colorful or as fresh as the previous one. This one suffers a little more, as I said in the synopsis there are many silences that speak for themselves in the plot. And the mischief between the characters is also enjoyable. 
The drama I focused on was the Babcock's and the Spiller's I found the contrast of the characters, the dynamics between them, the secrets, and clearly the arc of the story most peculiar. Because it was watching them unravel in front of us with each chapter and when we got to the middle, wow, they were totally unraveled, exposed to us and what's more we were the only ones who witnessed one of the secrets. I loved it.</div>

## TANYA

Sé que más de uno se sentirá identificado conmigo: queríamos más. Pero bueno, el desenlace de su historia aunque fue un poco torpe, era identificable con ella. Tanya es todo un personaje, ver a esta actriz desenvolverse en drama después de tanta pausa en su carrera fue gratificante porque lo hizo estupendo y quedará para la historia su personificación. Ya en las redes sociales hay un culto hacia Tanya. 
>I know that more than one of you will identify with me: we wanted more. But hey, the outcome of her story, even though it was a bit awkward, was relatable to her. Tanya is quite a character, to see this actress perform in drama after such a pause in her career was gratifying because she did a great job and her impersonation will remain for history. There is already a cult following for Tanya on social networks.

# LA ESTÉTICA
<div class="text-justify">Intenté entenderla porque siento que todo está resumido en ella. La estética del White Lotus italiano realmente es una obra de arte. Por eso insisto en que desde el silencio se nos dijo mucho con la temporada. 
Las esculturas, los mensajes encriptados en la intro realmente nos dejaron ver un poco que la superficialidad no es solo lo real. Puedo mencionar ejemplos como Tanya, los Babcock y Spiller, Lucia, Jack que parecen tener solo una cara bonita, pero detrás hay una profundidad basta. Eso me llamó muchísimo la atención. “No todo lo que brilla es oro”.

>I tried to understand it because I feel that everything is summed up in it. The aesthetics of the Italian White Lotus really is a work of art. That's why I insist that from the silence a lot was told to us with the season. 
The sculptures, the encrypted messages in the intro really let us see a little bit that superficiality is not only the real thing. I can mention examples like Tanya, the Babcock and Spiller, Lucia, Jack who seem to have only a pretty face, but behind it there is enough depth. That really caught my attention. "Not all that glitters is gold".</div>

## OPENING

<div class="text-justify">Volvemos con el arte pero desde otra perspectiva: la intro. Si en la temporada pasada la música nos decía algo, aquí igual. Este opening me da toda la razón de que la serie es mucho más seria, su música es un vals que predice que “algo no está bien”, desde que lo escuchamos sabemos que hay melancolía y misterio impregnado en él. 
Si me detuviera a hablar solo de la intro, este texto sería mucho más largo. Pero es que hay demasiados mensajes en él interesantes. Se nos alude a la falsedad, a la traición,  y de hecho hay metáforas de lo que veremos en pantalla, ahora yo intento ligar las historias con las figurillas que se nos muestran en la intro. Así que les recomiendo que terminen de verla y notarán que todo estaba allí.

This opening gives me all the reason that the series is much more serious, its music is a waltz that predicts that "something is not right", from the moment we hear it we know that there is melancholy and mystery impregnated in it. 
If I stopped to talk only about the intro, this text would be much longer. But there are too many interesting messages in it. We are alluded to falsehood, betrayal, and in fact there are metaphors of what we will see on screen, now I try to link the stories with the figurines that are shown to us in the intro. So I recommend that you finish watching it and you will notice that it was all there.</div>
