Greetings, fellow gardening lovers!

Today, I am happy to post in this community again. I have not done it for a few months because in this country where I live, now, I had not had the opportunity to dedicate myself to create my garden. Those who know me know that I love plants and in my house in Venezuela I have many that have been left in the care of my family.
My daughter, who knows me so well, had given me a little plant when I moved to my new home and since then I had wanted to share with you the joy that having plants at home gives me.
Well, I can now say that I have a mini garden because after the one given to me by @sofiaquino98, others have arrived in my home. So I can join the gardening diary challenge proposed by @riverflows and show you how my little garden in Bogota is doing.

The first plant I had in my apartment, my daughter gave me. It is known by the name of **Little Fish** because of the resemblance of its flowers to the shape of a fish. I really like this type of plant because its leaves are very shiny, resistant and, in addition, it remains in bloom for a long time. Mine is just growing and I expect a lot of little flowers, but I am sure that for it to bloom I have to change its pot. So I must do it soon.
The next little plant that came home was a **Jade**. I must confess that I couldn't resist seeing almost a forest of this beauty and took a little piece from a planter on the street during one of my walks.
The **Jade**, also known as the money or fortune plant is one of my favorite plants. I like to have it at home to attract economic abundance and prosperity in everything.
With much enthusiasm and care I planted the little piece of **Jade** that I brought from the street in a small pot, to my heart's content, it stuck and is very beautiful. Also, it will soon be my turn to change it to a bigger pot.

The next little plant welcome home was the **Easter Flower** or Christmas flower that my husband gave me. I loved this gift because it was the third one in my home and already my garden looked beautiful with these deep red flowers.
Still, in this month of February, my Christmas plant retains its blooms. I wish it would stay in bloom all year long, but I know that at any moment its flowers can disappear until next Christmas.

Now, when it comes to plants, you can never have too many. So, last week I thought my house was in need of more houseplants, but bigger and that would provide me with benefits beyond ornamental.
Immediately, I thought of a **Sansevieria** or, as it is widely known, **Lengua de suegra**. I know that it is recommended to have this plant at home because it serves to purify the air and attract good energies into the home. So this was one of the ones I chose on my visit to the nursery at the market.
The other plant I bought was the **Palo de Brasil**, also known as the **Palo de la felicidad** In my house in Cumaná I had a lot of them because I love to have them all over the house.
Below, I share with you, the sowing of my new plants to the pots I bought for them this weekend.

To plant my plants I chose some plastic pots of an appropriate size for them. When I arrived from the market, the first thing I did was to open the holes at the bottom of the pots so that the water from the irrigation could drain out.
I used the hot knife method. I lit a candle, heated the tip of one of my husband's pocket knives and before it cooled down in this Bogota weather, I pierced the holes.

After that, I set about removing the bushes from the plastic bags. I started with the **Palo de la felicidad**. I removed the soil and put it in the pot with the soil mixed with rice husk. This substrate is good for drainage and to maintain moisture.

From this plant, I took out a little son that it had and planted it in another small pot. These little things make me happy because this way my little garden is growing.

Then, I transplanted the **Sansevieria** or **Lengua de suegra**. I also mixed the rice substrate with the soil and planted it in its new pot. I took a little son out of this pot as well.
Yesterday was a day between soil and bushes. My hands were dirty, but I couldn't contain the joy of seeing my beautiful plants. I already have a mini garden in splendor. You can see a tiny succulent that was given to me, but I will tell you about it later.

¡Saludos, amigos amantes de la jardinería!
Hoy, estoy feliz de publicar en esta comunidad de nuevo. Desde hace unos meses no lo hacía porque en este país donde vivo, ahora, no había tenido oportunidad de dedicarme a crear mi jardín. Los que me conocen saben que amo las plantas y en mi casa de Venezuela tengo muchas que han quedado al cuidado de mi familia.
Mi hija, que tanto me conoce, me había regalado una plantita cuando me mudé a mi nuevo hogar y desde entonces había querido compartir con ustedes la alegría que me da tener plantas en casa.
Pues bien, ya puedo decir que tengo un mini jardín porque después de la que me regaló @sofiaquino98, otras han llegado a mi hogar. Así que puedo unirme al reto del diario de jardinería propuesto por @riverflows y mostrarles cómo van mi jardincito bogotano.

La primera plantita que tuve en mi apartamento, me regaló mi hija. Esta es conocida con el nombre de **Pececito** por la semejanza de sus flores con la forma de un pez. Me gusta mucho este tipo de plantas porque sus hojas son muy brillantes, resistentes y, además, permanece florecida por mucho tiempo. La mía apenas está creciendo y espero muchas florecitas, pero estoy segura de que para que florezca tengo que cambiarla de maceta. Así que pronto debo hacerlo.
La siguiente plantita que llegó a casa fue un **Jade**. Debo confesar que no pude resistirme al ver casi un bosque de esta hermosura y tomé un pedacito de una jardinera en la calle, durante una de mis caminatas.
El **Jade**, también conocida como la planta del dinero o de la fortuna es de mis plantas favoritas. Me gusta tenerla en casa para atraer la abundancia económica y la prosperidad en todo.
Con mucho entusiasmo y cuidados sembré el pedacito de **Jade** que me traje de la calle en una maceta pequeña, para alegría de mi corazón, pegó y está muy hermosa. También, me va a tocar pronto cambiarla a una maceta más grande.

La siguiente plantita bienvenida a casa fue la **Flor de Pascua** o de Navidad que me regaló mi esposo. Amé este regalo porque era la tercera en mi casa y ya mi jardín se veía bello con estas flores de rojo intenso.
Todavía, en este mes de febrero, mi planta navideña conserva sus flores. Quisiera que permaneciera florecida todo el año, pero sé que en cualquier momento sus flores pueden desaparecer hasta las próximas navidades.

Ahora bien, cuando se trata de plantas, nunca sobra una más. Así, la semana pasada pensé que a mi casa le hacían faltas más plantas de interiores, pero más grandes y que me proporcionara beneficios más allá de lo ornamental.
De inmediato, pensé en una **Sansevieria** o, como se conoce mucho, **Lengua de suegra**. Sé que es recomendable tener esta planta en casa porque sirve para purificar el aire y atraer buenas energías al hogar. Así que esta fue una de las que escogí en mi visita al vivero del mercado.
La otra planta que compré fue el **Palo de Brasil**, también conocida como el **Palo de la felicidad** En mi casa de Cumaná tenía muchas porque me encanta tenerlas por toda la casa.

Para sembrar mis plantas escogí unas macetas plásticas de un tamaño apropiado para ellas. Cuando llegué del mercado, lo primero que hice fue abrir los orificios por la parte de abajo de las macetas para que el agua del riego se pueda escurrir.

Usé el método del cuchillo caliente. Encendí una velita, puse a calentar la punta de una navaja de mi esposo y antes de que se enfriara en este clima bogotano, perforaba los huequitos.

Después de eso, me dispuse a sacar las matas de las bolsas plásticas. Comencé con el **Palo de la felicidad**. Le removí la tierra y la metí en la maceta con la tierra mezclada con cascarilla de arroz. Este sustrato es bueno para el drenaje y para mantener la humedad.
A esta planta, le saqué un hijito que traía y lo sembré en otra maceta pequeña. Estas pequeñas cosas me ponen feliz porque así mi jardincito va creciendo.

Luego, hice el trasplante de la **Sansevieria** o **Lengua de suegra**. También mezclé el sustrato de arroz con la tierra y la sembré en su maceta nueva. A esta matita, le saqué un hijito también.
El día de ayer fue un día entre tierra y matas. Mis manos quedaron sucias, pero en mí, no cabía la alegría de ver mis plantas bellas. Ya tengo un mini jardín en esplendor. Por ahí se ve una suculenta pequeñita que me regalaron, pero será luego que les hable de ella.
