Greetings and blessings, my dear friends at @holos-lotus. I hope you are feeling great, healthy and well, and enjoying the best possible day for everyone.


With this publication, I join the initiative [**Facilitando la vida**](https://peakd.com/hive-131951/@damarysvibra/facilitando-la-vida-or-or) proposed to us by friend @damarys vibra in her column **Integrales y en expansión**. 

The theme of this initiative resonated with me because, frankly, I think we complicate our lives unnecessarily, when life, however brief, should be taken calmly, with tranquility, avoiding the cortisol that contaminates us with stress.

But... I learned this over the years, after having gone through stressful situations that overwhelmed me for wanting to accomplish many things at the same time, overcoming my resistance capacity, and overlooking that one of the ways to reduce stress and make life easy for us is the organization and planning of our day to day.

Although, eventually, I would make to-do lists, most often I would forget them and get lost in a maze of things to do that I did not complete by the end of the day, leaving me more tired and with tasks accumulated for the following days.

Con esta publicación, me sumo a la iniciativa [**Facilitando la vida**](https://peakd.com/hive-131951/@damarysvibra/facilitando-la-vida-or-or) que nos ha propuesto la amiga @damarys vibra en su columna  **Integrales y en expansión**. 

El tema de esta iniciativa resonó en mí porque, francamente, creo que nos complicamos la vida innecesariamente, cuando la vida, por breve, hay que tomársela con calma, con tranquilidad, evitando el cortisol que nos contamina por estrés.

Pero... esto lo aprendí con los años, después de haber pasado por situaciones estresantes que me agobiaban por querer cumplir con muchas cosas al mismo tiempo, superando mi capacidad de resistencia, y pasando por alto que una de las formas de reducir el estrés y hacernos la vida fácil es la organización y la planificación de nuestro día a día.

Aunque, eventualmente, hacía listas de tareas, lo más frecuente era olvidarlas y perderme en un laberinto de cosas por hacer que no completaba al final del día, lo cual me dejaba más cansada y con tareas acumuladas para los siguientes días.

So, one day, faced with not knowing where to start, I stopped and started prioritizing tasks. I made lists of the most urgent and important ones and put them on the fridge so I could see them all the time until I accomplished them. Now, thanks to technology, I have those lists at hand, because I write them on my cell phone and, although they are far from resembling those long and full of commitments and housework that I used to stick on the fridge, they help me plan my life better and make it much easier. 

Today, as in the years when I was in my profession, I plan my day the night before, I even think about the clothes I am going to wear and take them out of the closet to have them at hand. This, for example, allows me to start the day calmly because I have guaranteed myself a little more time to do other things.

Así, un día, frente al hecho de  no saber por dónde comenzar, me detuve y empecé a priorizar las tareas. Hice listas de las más urgentes e importantes y las ponía en la nevera para verlas todo el tiempo hasta que las cumplía. Ahora, esas listas, gracias a la tecnología, las tengo a mano, pues, las escribo en mi celular y, aunque, están lejos de parecerse a aquellas largas y llenas de compromisos y labores de la casa que pegaba en la nevera, me ayudan a planificar mejor mi vida y hacerla mucho más fácil. 

Hoy, al igual que en los años en los que ejercía mi profesión,  planifico mi día la noche anterior, incluso hasta pienso en la ropa que voy a usar y la saco del closet para tenerla a mano. Esto, por ejemplo, me permite comenzar el día con calma porque me he garantizado un poco más de tiempo para hacer otras cosas.

Another strategy I practice is to have a daily routine because it gives me the possibility to have a little more control over the time I need to do housework and organize it by days, for example. I have schedules during the week for housework and with this I get rid of the *I have to...* thoughts that many times are overwhelming and take us on a speed run.

So, in my weekly schedule, I water the plants on Friday mornings, on Saturdays I take out laundry and on Sundays I clean the bathroom. These are fixed tasks that can move if there is any eventuality, but that I try to fulfill all the time for my peace of mind and with which I make my life easier.

I also practice order in all the spaces of my life. Since I was a child, I have been very tidy. I like to keep everything in its place because, in this way, I can find things easily. I believe that there is nothing that makes life more difficult and complicated than clutter. It takes up time and drains us physically, mentally and emotionally. Because of this, I am dedicated to keeping everything tidy. 

These are the strategies that I practice and that have made my life easier, bringing me wellbeing. At the end of the day, this is what we should prioritize in our lives. I hope they are useful for those who are willing to read them.

Otra estrategia que practico es tener una rutina diaria porque me da la posibilidad de tener un poco más de control  sobre el tiempo que necesito para hacer las tareas domésticas y organizarlas por días, por ejemplo. Tengo horarios en la semana para las labores del hogar y con esto me descargo de los  pensamientos  *tengo que...* que muchas veces  son agobiantes y nos llevan por  una carrera de velocidad. 

Así, en mi horario semanal, riego las plantas los viernes en la mañana, los sábados saco ropa para lavar y los domingos hago la limpieza del baño. Son tareas fijas que pueden moverse si hay alguna eventualidad, pero que trato de cumplir todo el tiempo para mi tranquilidad y con las cuales me facilito la vida. 

También, practico el orden  en todos los espacios de mi vida. Desde niña, he sido muy ordenada. Me gusta mucho mantener todo en su lugar  porque, de este modo, puedo encontrar las cosas con facilidad. Considero que no hay nada que nos haga la vida difícil y la complique más que el desorden. Este nos quita tiempo y  nos agota física, mental y emocionalmente. Por esto, me dedico a mantener todo ordenado. 

Estas son las estrategias que practico y que me han facilitado la vida, brindándome bienestar. Al final de cuentas, esto es lo que debemos priorizar en nuestras vidas. Espero que sean útiles para los que tengan a bien leerlas.
