So here come the money bunnies. Wall Street is always looking for a way to make a $. And it appears that State Street is working on some digital trading and market place. Of course it will be led by a legacy banking consortium.

Now lets get this straight. I’m all for free markets and crypto adoption. Personally I’m not against the legacy system and all it’s issues. However, what I am against is trying to turn crypto into a debt laden system that mirrors the existing legacy system.

Casino finance is fun but not for everyone. At it’s core the legacy system is a giant casino. Yet, it is only for the well connected and capitalized. In the end most lose out and is akin to taking a trip to Vegas. 

Bitcoin was never intended to be this. And I know some people will never learn. Some see a way to create more financial products to syphon value from it’s users instead of creating value. While others see a way to implement legacy gambling components into blockchain tech. 

And understand this: In a Casino the house will always win. The players will always get the shaft. When the game and numbers are rigged against you it’s not worth playing.

Blockchain was designed to move away from this nonsense. A system designed to create openness and abundance. To create games where players can actually win as opposed to getting value extracted. And more importantly to invent the new as opposed to keeping the old way alive.

And don’t be fooled by some of these legacy system leaders. Many didn’t get to their positions of power by being foolish. They know the game and would love nothing better then to keep it going; on the blockchain.

When you work with the new there will always be groups of individuals who will want to hold on to the old way. Many can’t see a world where things actually work for everyone. While others believe that greed and avarice is just a way of life. Sadly, for some it is part of their nature.

Over the next few years blockchain tech will continue to evolve. My hope is that people begin to see a better way to transact and earn income. Many should not be tempted to bring over the many flaws of the existing legacy system. We can do better. 

So as Bitcoin begins to gain mainstream appeal just remember it is not the legacy system. Many legacy system actors will eventually become involved. However, we should have an understanding that people want something new. Most of the financial products are gambling mechanisms and serve no function as it pertains to blockchain.

People will eventually see through the illusion and the fatal flaws of the legacy system. But understand we have to create abundance for all. The Hive ecosystem is just part of a grander puzzle.
