What if everything was free? And not Marxist or Statism free where the state owns everything. But truly free. What if the house that you live in was 3D printed? And the costs of said houses were so cheap that it nullified the 30 year mortgage.

And the food that you ate was also free. 3D printed food and self sustaining hydroponic gardens that produced continually. So that now the concept of hunger would fall by the wayside.

What if the vehicle you drove was also printed? No more 5 year loans or silly car payments. Pick a color and it is yours. And for those who can’t afford now can. Any style for mere pennies or free.

Food, shelter, and transportation. These 3 expenses alone account for the majority of household expenditures. And mainly the 30 year mortgage which causes headaches for couples looking to pay the monthly vig.

Now when you mention free stuff people began to get very uncomfortable. Decades of programming have caused Stockholm syndrome to occur in most. Yet, technology may be on the verge of major breakthroughs. 3D printing is not going away anytime soon.

And these technologies will only increase in efficiency and cost. What was once science fiction a decade ago will now become science fact. Personally I have worked with 3D printing and design. Although on a limited scale the tech has begun to improve over the last 2 years. 

Now tie this tech with crypto currency and you have the makings of a new economy. Tokenization of 3D printed items will become the norm. And since the cost of the goods are practically zero tokens will be gifts of sorts. Some manufactures may make payment optional since the productive capacity is so great.

So what if everything was free? How would people react? And would society be upended? The ramifications would not affect society in a negative way. However, gate keepers like banks and states may see a huge negative impact. 

Because of the abundance created families would have more free time to enjoy life. Without being saddled with endless debt personal balance sheets would also have time to heal. Ultimately, poverty and lack could be eradicated in a short period.

I truly believe this is the road we are headed down. Although the media tries to paint a negative picture technology will still advance. And the concept of “free” will have a new meaning.
