Homemade Butter Cookies

Following an Idea  Back to Roots I have discovered  really nice reciepe  from my nanny's old cook book.

The simple is the best!

Ingredients:

0,5kg plain flaur
200g unsalted soft butter
2  yolks
1 full egg
100g icing sugar
pinch of salt
small spoon of baking powder

Preparation Time: 20 minutes.
Cooking Time: 15 minutes.
Serves: 10-14

These delicious biscuits are similar to an extremely short shortbread. 
The wonderfully fine-textured biscuit melts in moutht beautifully. 

They disappear so quickly!

You mean it taste like shortbread? Wow that would be really tasty. I bake a cookie before but it is really hard to control the sweetness and also the use of butter. Thank u for sharing!

Exactly,  they are similar :) All depends on your preferations. After having experience in baking both: shortbread and mentioned cookies;) - they become my favourite ever since- something about texture- butter cookies are more soft/crunchy. Although I have found small modification adding chocolate. Something like Austrian whirls-I'll try next time.
