Seguimos por estos lados con nuestras aventuras  en bicicleta, retomando el entrenamiento y los paseos que se han convertido en nuestro disfrute y estilo de vida deportiva, en esta nueva etapa es un poco más complejo el tema de las salidas porque la mayoría de los compañeros han retomado sus actividades laborales, escolares, familiares y esto hace que hayan disminuido los días de salir a rodar.

> *We are still around these parts with our cycling adventures, resuming the training and rides that have become our enjoyment and sporting lifestyle, in this new stage is a little more complex the issue of outings because most of the partners have resumed their work, school, family activities and this has decreased the days of going out to ride.*

A pesar de las circunstancias, sabemos que montarnos en nuestras bicicletas garantiza bienestar, es paradójico porque las rutas que solemos tomar en nuestra ciudad Maracay (Venezuela) se caracterizan por tener subidas prolongadas y falsos planos exigentes que requieren de voluntad y constancia para superarlos, en lo particular, después de cierto tiempo sin recorrerlas pense que seria fácil.

> *Despite the circumstances, we know that riding our bicycles guarantees well-being, it is paradoxical because the routes we usually take in our city Maracay (Venezuela) are characterized by long climbs and demanding false planes that require will and perseverance to overcome, in particular, after some time without riding them I thought it would be easy.*

El sábado 23 de abril, decidimos Sheryl, Cristian, Julio, Claudia, Omaris, Anahys y mi persona, subir la carretera que lleva a Ocumare de la costa (Estado Aragua-Venezuela) con la intención de llegar solo hasta la cumbre de portachuelo, la motivación principal era saborear un rico chocolate con la respectiva arepa de chicharrón, en la alcabala nos conseguimos con Jonathan que sólo quería llegar hasta allí,  pero la sinergia del grupo lo impulsó a continuar.

> *On Saturday, April 23, Sheryl, Cristian, Julio, Claudia, Omaris, Anahys, and I decided to climb the road that leads to Ocumare de la Costa (Aragua State, Venezuela) to reach the summit of Portachuelo, the main motivation was to enjoy delicious chocolate with the respective arepa de chicharrón, in the alcove we met Jonathan who only wanted to get there, but the synergy of the group pushed him to continue.*

Desde el punto de partida hasta la meta eran aproximadamente 58 Km  ida y vuelta, para ese momento eso era lo que estaba previsto, pero...esta aventura tuvo un incidente que se los contare mas adelante para  no saltar la secuencia del paseo, fuimos superando pedal a pedal las subidas y las curvas, volví a escuchar el rugido de los monos araguatos, las chicharras, los pájaros y el sonido de los manantiales que se encuentran a la orilla de la carretera, además de sentir la brisa.

> *From the starting point to the finish line were approximately 58 km round trip, for that moment that was what was planned, but... this adventure had an incident that I will tell you later not to skip the sequence of the ride, we were overcoming pedal to pedal the climbs and curves, I returned to hear the roar of the monkeys, araguatos, the cicadas, birds and the sound of the springs that are on the edge of the road, besides feeling the breeze.*

Esta ruta se había convertido en parte de lo cotidiano, pero es impresionante que al dejar de entrenar cuesta un poco retomar las condiciones, ese día,  el sol y el cansancio no me dejaban avanzar, luego del mirador donde nos paramos a tomar agua y descansar, le dije a Julio que estaba muy agotada para pedalear, que continuaba pero caminando, mis compañeros escucharon y dijeron: pues, te acompañamos, se bajaron de sus bicicletas y continuamos.

> *This route had become part of the daily routine, but it is impressive that when you stop training it costs a little to regain the conditions, that day, the sun and fatigue did not let me move forward, after the viewpoint where we stopped to drink water and rest, I told Julio that I was too exhausted to pedal, I continued but walking, my companions listened and said: well, we accompany you, they got off their bikes and we continued.*

De esta etapa del camino no tenemos fotos, íbamos concentrados llevando a nuestras compañeras (bicicletas) remolcadas, además, el ego de los ciclistas no permitió dejar constancia que el cansancio había hecho de las suyas. Paso a paso y pedal a pedal nos fuimos acercando a nuestro destino, la imaginación tiene la particularidad de impulsar y dar fuerza, nuestro empeño era firme y al poco tiempo alcanzamos la meta.

> *We have no photos of this stage of the road, we were concentrating on carrying our companions (bicycles) in tow, besides, the ego of the cyclists did not allow us to show that fatigue had taken its toll. Step by step and pedal by pedal we were approaching our destination, the imagination has the particularity to drive and give strength, our determination was firm and soon we reached the goal.*

Aunque rodemos por las mismas rutas y a los mismos lugares, cada aventura tiene su toque y su particularidad, por fin estábamos saboreando el chocolate y arepas, las tertulias son muy amenas sobretodo con Anahys, ella tiene el don de contar sus anécdotas de tal forma que es difícil estar a su lado y no reirse, son momentos mágicos que nos conectan con el presente, mientras comíamos, Julio aprovechó de arreglar un espiche en la rueda trasera de su bicicleta.

> *Although we ride the same routes and the same places, each adventure has its touch and its particularity, finally we were savoring the chocolate and arepas, and the gatherings are very enjoyable, especially with Anahys, she has the gift of telling her anecdotes in such a way that it is difficult to be next to her and not laugh, they are magical moments that connect us with the present, while we ate, Julio took the opportunity to fix a spike in the rear wheel of his bike.*

Después de un rato, decidimos  emprender el regreso, cuando vimos un grupo de ciclistas que llegaron al restaurante, nos dijeron que pertenecían al team Corozomtb, venían de Guacara (Valencia) y tenían previsto que al descender  la montaña, harían un picnic en la zona conocida como "Guamita", extendieron la invitación a nuestro grupo, pero no aceptamos porque algunos de nuestros compañeros tenían compromisos familiares.

> *After a while, we decided to start our return, when we saw a group of cyclists who arrived at the restaurant, they told us that they belonged to the Corozomtb team, they came from Guacara (Valencia) and they had planned that when descending the mountain, they would have a picnic in the area known as "Guamita", they extended the invitation to our group, but we did not accept because some of our companions had family commitments.*

Arrancamos,  en la bajada la sensación es indescriptible, adrenalina pura, las alarmas se encienden y los sentidos se agudizan, es necesario apelar a la cautela porque hay curvas cerradas y algunas irregularidades en el carretera, todo iba de maravilla, hasta que...el grupo no nos alcanzaba, Julio, Sheryl y yo ibamos adelante, nos detuvimos, sabiamos que algo había pasado por el tiempo transcurrido, dimos marcha atrás para encontrarnos a pocos metros con Anahys en el pavimento, ella perdió el control de la bicicleta al tratar de quitarse una avispa que la estaba picando.

> *We started, in the descent the feeling is indescribable, pure adrenaline, the alarms go off and the senses are sharpened, it is necessary to appeal to caution because there are sharp curves and some irregularities in the road, everything was going great, until .... Julio, Sheryl and I were ahead, we stopped, we knew that something had happened because of the time elapsed, we backed up to find Anahys a few meters away on the pavement, she lost control of the bike while trying to get rid of a wasp that was stinging her.*

La ayudamos a levantar, todos estábamos asustados, no sabíamos la magnitud del golpe, ella es médico traumatólogo y sabe de lesiones, todos atentos a su reacción, su traje de aventurera estaba roto, lo más visible era un raspón en la rodilla y otras contusiones en varias partes del cuerpo, estuvimos un rato mientras se recuperaba, nos dijo que estaba en condiciones de seguir bajando, la fuimos escoltando hasta llegar a la alcabala para pedir auxilio, Claudia llamó a Kiara (su hija) para que fuese por nosotros en su camioneta.

> *We helped her to get up, we were all scared, we did not know the magnitude of the blow, she is an orthopedic doctor and knows about injuries, we were all attentive to her reaction, her adventurer suit was torn, the most visible thing was a scrape on her knee and other bruises in various parts of the body, we stayed a while while she recovered, she told us that she was able to continue descending, we escorted her until we reached the alcove to ask for help, Claudia called Kiara (her daughter) to go for us in her SUV.*

Anahys estaba adolorida pero igualmente divertida, montamos todas las bicicletas en el vehículo y nos fuimos para la clínica, Sheryl entró con ella al centro asistencial y los demás compañeros nos fuimos al bodegón Sport 21 a esperarlas (queda a 2 cuadras), por supuesto que la hidratación no se hizo esperar, al rato, regresaron las chicas, le habían atendido e hicieron las curas pertinentes y le aliviaron el dolor con analgesicos. 

> *Anahys was in pain but equally fun, we mounted all the bikes in the vehicle and went to the clinic, Sheryl went with her to the clinic and the rest of us went to Sport 21 to wait for them (2 blocks away), of course, the hydration was not long in coming, after a while, the girls returned, they had attended her and made the appropriate cures and relieved the pain with painkillers.*

Esta historia no finalizó con la atención medica de Anahys, sino que llamamos a Yvonne que se encontraba de reposo en su casa por una caída aparatosa que tuvo recientemente también en bicicleta motivo por el cual no nos acompañó ese día, igualmente compañeros del equipo Mountbike hicieron acto de presencia para compartir, nuestras ganas de pasarla bien y disfrutar  es más fuerte que estos eventos desafortunados, estas chicas nos demuestran que a pesar de las circunstancias, la actitud las define, las aplaudimos de pie. 

> *This story did not end with the medical attention of Anahys, but we called Yvonne who was resting at home because of a bad fall she had recently also on a bicycle, the reason why she did not accompany us that day, also Mountbike team made an appearance to share, our desire to have fun and enjoy is stronger than these unfortunate events, these girls show us that despite the circumstances, the attitude defines them, we applaud them standing up.*
