I've been following bitcoin since 2011 and ethereum since early 2015 and i've been a huuuge fan and supporter of both of these breakthough's in blockchain technologies.  Its my dream to work for a blockchain startup and should an opportunity arise in Zurich i'll be sure to grab it!

I 've been following Steemit for just the last week or so when i noticed it rocket up the charts on the coinmarketcap.com website an instantly wanted to know what it could be all about. 

Since then i've been addicted, reading all the news articles about it and even being shocked when i saw a news story on theguardian.com (a newspaper that a pretty big deal in the UK). I've never been more excited about a usecase for blockchain technology than steemit.

There have been some hiccups though, the hack and the numerous downtime for maintenance.

But why am i am Steemit? is it to make some money? well not really, if i do get a bunch of upvotes which results in me becoming rich and famous then i wouldn't be too upset about it but that's really not my objective.

The truth is I’ve taken up and dropped a lot of vocations and hobbies. None of them has molded me as a person, given me any freedom or fulfillment, or brought me influence and financial stability. 

I believe blogging on steemit will give me the opportunity to try to gain all of those things and have fun doing it. And so that is why i am here!
