## We instinctively know these in the back of our heads, yet it takes outside influence to remind us of these soothing truths of life.. <sub>*Some random thoughts in my mind i'd like to put to my corner of the blockchain, some of these may be quotes that i remembered vaguely, or a culmination of some long thoughts i used to have..*</sub>  Most of us don’t like silence, because it forces us to confront ourselves. And sometimes what we find staring back is emptiness. We’re also afraid of silence, because we equate silence with insignificance. We want to be heard and seen. We want to make ourselves relevant. We want tobe somebody in the eyes of others. Some people practice the avergance of silence by creating external stimulus, loud music, being in populous environment, the constant neediness of companions. But more often than not, most avergance are internal. Mostly in the pretense of business. Most of us like to pretend to be productive or exude the aura of productivity. It masquerades ourselves as being purpose-driven. But it’s actually soul-sucking. I remember my mom or teachers used to tell me not to "stare at the wall", I also remembered spending hours sitting at a comfortable corner and daydream. I don't do that anymore.. Not that i lost the ability to daydream, but it seems like it's not something people do anymore. I wonder do kids nowadays still stare at the wall and daydream?
