HELLO HIVE Today I decided to resume my farm work after the long dry season break. Whenever there is no rain for farming season I usually take a break to concentrate on my teaching job as a teacher. Farming is one of the ways I often plant and grow some crops to support my family with food. It is a very useful and economical way.  I mostly plant corn and rice with vegetables. It is the season for planting corn already and some of my farm neighbors have started clearing their lands. For me I want the plant vegetables first. The stress of growing vegetables during the dry season is usually much. I live in an environment where there is usually serious scarcity of water. We don't usually have enough water for domestic use talk more of wetting our vegetables. So I only grow my veggies during the raining seasons together with the other crops.  Gradually I'm using cutlass to clear the bushes around. And then with a hole I make this heap of sand as a vegetable bed to plant the vegetables. After making the bed we wait for a heavy rain to wet the soil enough before planting.  I got some vegetables seeds from the market and they are sold very cheaply. Planting vegetables is easy and it doesn't take time to germinate. We can grow and harvest vegetables within 2month and when I am able to plant this within this week then I can proceed to the other farm where I want to plant my corn to start clearing the land.  I have some friends that will help me to cultivate the land as we always like a community helping one another to do our farm work. The community friends will help me with cultivating the land while I will equally assist them with weeding or any other farm work when the time comes.  Thanks for visiting my blog

Due to lack of water, you are having to sow vegetables in the rainy season. You have prepared the land very well. The soil will be soft and fertile. The vegetable seeds have sprouted well. I would like to give you a piece of advice here: use cow dung fertilizer. It is organic and your vegetables will grow well.
