# A bit of this and that!

Land at Splinterlands is constantly evolving and with it tools must evolve too. Players must keep up, otherwise they will fall behind. In order to motivate and help players from all shapes, sizes and skills we have the following toolset available for the players to use. Thanks to @beaker007 we are constantly updating it.

I have given a direct link to a plot, that I don't think was shared much here, and I think it is quite valuable. The plot above is an interactive histogram of how many plots and PP a player have. The player's name can be entered above so that his/her position in the population is highlighted. Like I did for myself above.

The plot can be interactively zoom to show a players immediate surrounding, a handy tool to have. The tools and features are available at a toolbar to the right as you hover over the plot.

The vertical axis for these histogram plots is in log-scale. That helps display 1000 plot owners and a single plot owners in the same display. It tells me that there are 4060 unique land owner accounts, and I am ranked #21, with my 1118 plot. However, I know only 561 of them are active right now. 

So give it a spin, and see where you plot yourself!

# How much am I earning from Land?

To a lot of people it is not a simple question, as there are no place in game that tells you that. So we came up with a strategy to simplify that. Still there are assumptions that goes into this calculation, but with land nothing is _simple_ as beaker will always tell you, and I will continue to say, _oh! we will simplify_!

Below is my land positions in game and I just harvested, as you can see (2 min ago).

This harvest gives me the following in DEC:

_I converted wood, stone and iron to DEC in Region 9, but only wood & iron in Region 10_

This is because, I only have 9 plots producing stone in Region 9, and I consume more than I produce there. So if I add those two, I get:

Total DEC earned (~per day) = 28,168 DEC

Beaker's tool tells me I earn 721.108/hr.

That translates to 721.108 * 24 = 17,306 DEC. 

This is a bit less because this is calculating grain that I must pay to harvest, but I am paying the grain from my stash of 100M plus grain that I have already bought, which will last me a whole year. Plus I don't pay taxes in my region, because I own all the castle and keeps. There is a toggle to uncheck, and if I do that the calculation becomes:

Total Net Positive DEC: 885.631 /hr

Total Net Positive DEC per day = 21,255 DEC.

That is much closer to the real number I am getting. Mind you, I am not going anything with the little Aura that I am producing now. I am simply stashing it for future use.

So there you have it. Nearly $28 per day. I am using it to activate new plots, and sometimes buying some select CA cards. That is, ladies & gentlemen, the way to accumulate wealth!
