Welcome to 2022 you all, as a early year present for meme coins lovers, Shiba Inu developers have got project teasers, some DAO talks specifically, and I believe, many people would be thinking; **Is it actually time to take them seriously?**

That is totally understandable, everyone wants to be on the good side of things, so as not to miss the whole fun in its potential materialization. Shiba Inu, as we all already know, is a meme coin, inspired by dogecoin, which it's basic utility has been **charity centered**. It's actually funny to witness how much this coin has grown from a meme perspective, people basically preferred to invest in a joke than real assets. How many charity crypto projects have you seen grow as big as this? Many people or should I say most people, both the invested and not invested tend not to know that Shiba Inu is a charity driven project, powering dog rescues. A large portion of the volumes attracted to this project was from a meme perspective, and it's disturbingly still is. 

That said, just like many other shit projects out there, Shiba Inu developers have been looking to throw what they would deem *value* to the project by first building a **Shibaswap** and of recent, which is what we'd be discussing today; [DOGGY DAO is here. Woof!](https://blog.shibaswap.com)

**Is Shiba Inu Decentralized? Or Can It Ever Be?**

This is the question I expect people to ask. In the first place, it's a funny question to ask after a meme coin project, but on the other hand, it would be a cheap project to jump in if there was any potential at all. At launch, Vitalik was allocated a huge amount of this token supply, which he had [burned](https://etherscan.io/token/0x95ad61b0a150d79219dcf64e1e6cc01f0b64c4ce?a=0xdead000000000000000042069420694206942069) and explained [here](https://etherscan.io/tx/0x7a69f558bdc4aaf1e6bab9473c84cb2fddbd1e419c44d5c22eb88bedeb09657c), you'd have to switch the input date to **UTF-8** in order to decrypt the message. This burn makes up 41% of the total supply. Of course that's bullish but not really, for a coin with way more supply figures. 

This has seemed like Capitalist play ground as tho, lots of millionaires have found Shiba to be a sweet market for token manipulation, we've observed how their wealth has controlled the token market, placing it in high figures and bringing it back down. 

That said, with the creation of Shibaswap, the project is looking to detach from the meme scar into something **real** and less of a joke. How this works is that, in order to participate in the DAO, you have to stake $BONE but you can only dig out these bones by providing liquidity on the Dex. If you look at it, it somewhat brings more value to the ecosystem, people looking to participate would result in buying Shiba to stake and dig out some $BONES and by doing this, the swap pool increases in volume, respectively, the supply is reduced, that's less tokens on CEXs or in idle wallets specifically. 

All this creates **FOMO** because hell, these developers know better what runs the markets and this development is one to set them off on a good start. 

However, despite its attempts to create value, the Shib supply is still pretty much centralized! With 50% already locked up on Uniswap, and 41% already burned! That leaves a 9% circulating, of which 26% ( about 2.635 billion Shiba) of that supply is [controlled by whales](https://www.whalestats.com/erc20-token/Shiba-Inu)

This means, this accounts solely decide what goes in and what stays out because there's barely enough room for tiny addresses to influence the DAO voting system/process.
