Hello everyone. It's been a quick week and I'm now on my second social media challenge entry. I have observed and experienced many things through the past few days. I can absolutely say that I spent  more time watching content creators and Splinterlands gameplay videos than playing the game itself. With that being said, I would like to share a few things I've experienced.

**Losing Streak**

I am a little disappointed and maybe annoyed that I am not winning as much as I would like to. I noticed that compared to last season, it was getting harder for me to fight the matches. I know one of the videos I watched mentioned how everyone's rankings reset a little bit when the new season starts and that is probably why I was losing many battles. The higher level players are fighting in the same area as I am. I started bronze 1 and I am now stuck at just silver 3. As I am not yet ready to level up may cards, I will be hoping that the remaining one week of the season I can climb a little higher than silver 3.

**SPS Boost vs Percentage Bonus**

While I was fighting my daily battles, I noticed something when I viewed the SPS rewards of my enemies. Some of them receive higher SPS than me even though their SPS boost is lower. I only gain around 0.5 SPS in average when I win. But some enemies have 1 or 2 SPS wins which I find fishy. When I checked more into it, I noticed that they have very high percentage bonus. There are many ways to improve this score like winning streak and using gold cards and promo cards. From what I understand, even if you have a low SPS boost, if you use many gold cards and other bonus, you may double or triple your SPS rewards. Increasing SPS boost will need you to buy and stake hundreds of thousands of SPS while increasing percentage bonus will only require you to include gold cards in the battles, which I think is much cheaper.

**Buying High Selling Low**

I learned that one of the things that give SPS bonus is having land NFTs in your inventory. I also heard that grain producing land is a better land type to buy initially as you need grain to run the other lands. So I bought a river for $24. And while playing, I noticed that there was no added bonus when I win. That's when I realized that you will need to keep five lands to get a 5% bonus. That will take me more than $100 to complete and I currently have not enough money to do that. So I sold my land for $20 and suffering a $4 loss. I decided to add cards to my collection instead.

**Buying Drakoshan Cards**

At this point, I now realize that Splinterlands is a very expensive game if you want to collect all the maximum level cards. So I decided to slowly level up my cards while playing and only focusing on two elements instead of all. I chose to start with the Drakoshan dragon cards first as I really really love their art style. I bought a level 2 Kavor Skarn, a level 2 Kei, and a level 1 Songale. The purchase cost me about $21.

I also selected dragon element because it allows me to play other elements as well. My first priority is to level up my archon Kavor Skarn and then the other dragon cards. There is also Dragon Egg Forager and Syrenth which are reward cards. It will be a long grind but I'm enjoying the process.
