I'm very curious to understand if remote work is that fun to work. I recently saw a lot of colleagues leave their jobs and switch to companies that offer 100 percent work-from-home positions. These companies are either start up companies are companies that are abroad and don't have any specific location for their off shore teams. The employer also benefits from remote work, as it eliminates the need for login and logout times. Some companies follow strict login and logout times even in remote work, but most of the companies don't do that, and that is the advantage that the employer is getting. 

## Time flexibility

With remote work, there is no hard rule on the connecting time. For people who are individual contributors, when they have definite tasks set, they can work on their convenient timing and ultimately, the targets should be met. I have seen some people working very hard 3 days a week and relax on the other days. I have seen this trend happening in non-remote jobs, too. When companies mandate 3 days of compulsary work from the office, the employees work dedicated enough on those 3 days, and the remaining 2 days when they work from home, they relax a little bit.

## Forget traffic

The next biggest advantage of remote jobs is that we don't have to worry too much about traffic and commuting to the office. I remember my counterpart in the Netherlands used to say that he leaves the office either one hour early or one hour later, and he also monitors the traffic through an application and then start travelling. This way, he saves hours by avoiding peak-hour traffic. This is a great thing, and many companies should be flexible about work timing just for this very reason. But remote jobs need not worry too much about traffic or even travelling. It not only saves the travelling time but it also saves the travelling money as well. Companies have started giving perks like a cab for pick up and drop off to encourage employees to get back to work after the pandemic. 

## Health issues

Now coming to the serious problems, people who are working remotely mostly would have lost their one reason to get up and walk. Moving their muscles has been drastically affected after the remote jobs. One of my cousins died due to obesity during the pandemic. He survived coronavirus, but later, because of obesity, he died of Type 2 Respiratory Failure. If we are doing a remote job that does not require us to do any physical activity, we have to create avenues for doing physical activity. Going to the gym or having a sport as a daily routine can be one avenue. Some people walk everyday or run every day to keep the fitness. Without doing all these things, if we have bad eating habits, we might build up a lot of health issues, and the money that we earn would be spent on recovering our body from the damage.
