If your dream doesn't scare you then you aren't dreaming.

They are some dreams you will have and want to take action toward them, but the action aspect is scary.

When you dream big, it becomes scary because you want them achieved especially when you have big hurdles in your path.

Let's take, for instance, ancient times when women are not allowed to go to school because they are known to be breeding machines. A woman from that time who dreams to become a doctor or become someone someday will be scared to take action. 

It's like you dreamt you jumped into a deep sea and survived in a place where swimming is prohibited. Having that dream means you are going against the norms in that place which is scary.

Back to the lady's instance taken, her dreams to become someone order than a breeding machine will scare her because she is dreaming unlike her following the trend.

I hope I was able to explain a bit, but if you are not satisfied with what is been said, I have other instances to fill in.

Oh no! I totally get the direction you took it from now. Indeed one would be scared to such dreams.

But then, if one just have a dream that doesn't do all that like you mentioned, is it safe to say that person didn't dream yet?

Are all dreams supposed to scare you for it to be a powerful dream? Because I want to believe that those scary dreams talked about is posing a powerful future if actions are taken.

To be great in life, one has to go through lots of things. Nothing comes for free. The question you posed means one thing.

The person isn't dreaming big enough. Trust me, when you dream big, the weight will scare you. It is like fighting for freedom. I mean, you can still be living when you depend on someone right? But the moment you seek independence, you realize the weight that comes with it.

Okay, now I think we are on the same page now... I've finally come to understand what that sentence has meant haha.

It isn't a dream until it weighs on you that you're up for a big change in your life... That makes a lot of sense and I've had experiences like that in different aspect of my life.

We are all supposed to have what keeps us on our toes at all times...something that keeps us wondering how we would get it done because we know this dream is bigger than us... Take for instance...Joseph in the Bible... That's another angle...see how scared he was...to even share the dream not to even talk of living it.
