Я не знаю, насколько корректно гугл-переводчик справился со своей задачей. Это отрывок из из книги корело-финского эпоса "Калевала". В гости к этому герою мы сегодня и пойдём.

Я не стал обрабатывать свои фотографии в монохромном режиме. Но всё же придал им немного состаренный вид.

These are the last two buildings before leaving the old part of Vyborg. Then there is about 1-2 km of the way to Monrepos Park. I will not overload the post with background information. This is a very famous place and a lot of things have been written and shown about it in photos and videos. I have been there only once and I want to go back there. Of course, I did not go around all the corners there and the weather did not really help in the photo shooting, it was raining and there was practically no light. But this is also interesting.

The Friedrichsgam Gate opens the way to the territory of the Annenskie fortifications. They were erected in the 30s of the XVIII century to protect the northern borders from enemy attacks. Named after Peter I's niece Anna Ioannovna.

Let's go straight to the park. As we walked to it, the rain began and intensified. We even had to buy cellophane raincoats. The salesperson at the checkout was ready for such an order. Rocks, water and northern greenery. And water is not only below, water is everywhere. Please note that the banks are well maintained and fortified. At the same time, a special natural kind of nature is preserved. Very competent work on the design of the park. We will be convinced of this more than once.

The temple of Neptune can be seen in the distance. A long-suffering building that was destroyed and burned. The temple was built in 1806 under Ludwig Heinrich Nikolai, the then owner of the Mon Repos estate. The last time it burned was in 2011.
It is curious that this temple was originally called the Temple of Piety in honor of the goddess Pietas, who is a symbol of piety and parental love. But I think for Neptune among the waters of the Zashchitnaya Bay (the Gulf of Finland) this is also a very suitable place.
