Today Wednesday and it's time for a walk. Spring is confidently coming, but there is still a lot of snow in the northern parts and you might think that winter continues. Of course it's not. In my photos, you will easily notice the signs of spring. Even the sky has a different color.

Today we are walking in the Dubki Park. This is the Central Park of the city of Sestroretsk. It is located on a cape that juts deep enough into the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea.

At one time (the beginning of the 18th century) Peter 1 ordered to plant an oak grove here for the needs of shipbuilding. Yes, oak has strong wood, and ships used to be wooden. The hulls were built of resinous wood, but the various internal parts were often oak.

But I will show the oaks some other time, although they are also in the photo. It's just that there are a lot of them in the park and there are oaks from those Peter the Great times.

The open water you see is the mouth of the Sister River (it gave the name to the city). Here it flows into the Baltic Sea.

Try to imagine yourself on this shore. The sun warms gently, the slightly frosty clean air, the first spring smells... take a deep breath... this is the breath of winter :)
