|	Today for #MarketFriday I will show you some old books and notebooks that I photographed a few years ago at the Annecy antique market, France	|	Aujourd'hui pour le jour du marché je vous présente des livres anciens et cahiers que j'ai photographié il y a quelques années au marché de la brocante d'Annecy 	|
|	--------	|	--------	|
|	 This market usually takes place in the old town every last Saturday of the month, of course with the confinement it has not taken place for a very long time.  	|	  Ce marché a lieu habituellement dans la vieille ville chaque dernier samedi du mois,bien sûr avec le confinement il n'a pas eu lieu depuis fort longtemps.    	|
| Fortunately I went there often enough to have a lot of photos to show you from time to time, and as I have a lot on many different subjects, I decided today to limit myself to a theme that will be that of **the books and notebooks** that I found while rummaging in the flea markets 😊 	|	Heureusement je m'y suis rendue assez souvent pour avoir un tas de photos à vous montrer de temps en temps,et comme j'en ai énormément sur beaucoup de sujets différents, j'ai décidé aujourd'hui de me limiter à un thème qui sera celui des livres et cahiers que j'ai trouvé en fouillant dans ces brocantes du samedi 😊 	|

|	So let's start by admiring this magnificent notebook whose lines of writing date from January 25, 1938!	|	Commençons donc par admirer ce magnifique cahier dont les lignes d'écritures datent du 25 Janvier 1938 ! 	|
|	--------	|	--------	|
|	  This is how the notebooks looked at the time in France, with calligraphy lines of the letter **e** here, but also with dictations, all in an impeccable presentation where the aesthetics of writing and care of the notebook was as important as the spelling	|	  c'est ainsi que se présentaient les cahiers à l'époque en France, avec des lignes de calligraphie de la lettre **e** ici , mais aussi avec des dictées, le tout dans une présentation impeccable où l'esthétisme de l'écriture et le soin était aussi importante que l'orthographe 	|
|	In the margin were the teacher's annotations in red :	|	Dans la marge étaient les annotations en rouge du professeur :	|
|	*Very good 🤩 - Good 😊 - Fairly good 🙂 - middling 😌* ...and sometimes you could also find some *very poor 😣*	|	*Très bien - Bien  - Assez bien - Passable😔*et parfois vous pouvez aussi trouver des *médiocres* 😣 	 |

|	I will not debate that we are nowadays no more at this point at all, and that few people can write nicely, or even with the right spelling for that matter ...🙄	|	Je ne vais pas débattre sur le fait que nous n'en sommes actuellement plus du tout là, et que peu de personnes savent écrire joliement, ou même avec la bonne orthographe d'ailleurs...🙄	|
|	--------	|	--------	|
|	  and I suggest going straight to the shelf of old dusty books, but so pretty, and much more attractive than the smooth screen of an e-reader, don't you agree...? 😄 	|	  et je propose de passer directement au rayon des vieux bouquins poussiereux, mais tellement jolis, et beaucoup plus séduisants que l'écran lisse d'une liseuse, qh'en dites-vous ? 😄  	|

|	chiseled and worn over the years and by hands that have over and over again turned the pages of these timeless but dated treasures ...|	burinées et usées par les années et par des mains qui ont maintes et maintes fois tourné les pages de ces trésors intemporels mais dâtés...	|

|even the finer covers of these books have stood the test of time thanks to the care of book lovers ...	|	même les couvertures plus fines de ces livres ont résisté aux assaut du temps grâce aux soins d'amoureux des livres...	|

|	  These editions are history books that deal with the French colonies, the expansion of France in the world, and the three volumes are each devoted to a country: 	|	 ces éditions sont des livres d'histoire qui traitent des colonies françaises, de l'expansion de la France dans le monde, et les trois volumes sont consacrés chacun à un pays :  	|
|	India, Algeria and the volume on top is that of America 😊	|	L'Inde, l'Algérie et le volume sur le dessus est celui de l'Amérique 😊 	|

|	these are books which listed the markets, fairs and town festivals of 1927	|	ceux ci sont des livres qui répertoriaient les marchés, foires et fêtes communales de 1927 	|

  	|	 and the two green books are encyclopedic directories  	|et les deux livres verts sont des annuaires encyclopédiques

|	  Annecy is indeed nicknamed "Savoyard Venice"  	|	  Annecy est en effet surnommée "La Venise savoyarde"  	|

|	Here a recipe book which should have been in all kitchens in very remote times, and entitled :	|	Ici un livre de recettes qui devait se trouver dans toutes les cuisines en des temps fort reculés, et intitulé : |

|	  "AUNT MARIE'S REAL CUISINE"  	|	  "LA VERITABLE CUISINE DE TANTE MARIE"
|	"*The only book containing how to use the left-overs, and 500 menus*"	|	"*seul ouvrage contenant la manière d'utiliser les restes, et 500 menus*"	|

|	And to finish, voilà these very old beautiful works a little tied up but apparently dating from the year M D C C L X V I! 😁	|	Et pour finir, ces très vieux ouvrages un peu ficelés mais datant apparemment de l'année M D C C L X V I ! 😁 	|
|	--------	|	--------	|
|	  which must correspond to the year 1766 if I remember the Roman numerals correctly 	|	  ce qui doit correspondre à l'année 1766 si mes souvenirs des chiffres romains sont bons  	|
|	I believe that this simple fact has just categorized me directly into the old dinosaurs who not only learned Roman numerals, but who also listened, learned and remembered lessons..😬 😁	|	je crois que ce simple fait vient de me categoriser directement dans les vieux dinosaures qui, non seulement ont appris les chiffres romains, mais qui aussi ont écouté, appris et retenu les leçons..😬  	|
