Two for Tuesday was not enough, so have a set of four to go

<center><h2>Panoramic Cook Inlet Sunset</h2></center>

Jan 15th, we had a pretty nice day. It was still cold but at least it was out of the minus and single digits, and sitting in the mid 20's. Got some wonderful pictures of Eagles today, and some nice mountain shots. Those, (the Mountains), I plan on saving for later, though the images and photos featured tonight do have a mountain in them. 

I am still playing with and having fun with a program that helps make panoramic photos. This was our sunset today, four shots all stitched nicely together by the photo program. The other sequence of shots the program said not enough similar parts , so only the one Pano Edit. I like it hough. I don't like how in this series it shows the bow dip effect. Not so bad on the left hand side, but the right hand side a definite rise, and that was after taking the time to level all the photos and hoping that I was not going to lose to many similarities to make the pano. Still overall I think the program did a pretty decent job of the edit.

I kind of like this shot I got while trying to warm back up after taking several pictures. It was taken from inside the vehicle. I notice that if I moved my head just right the sun was blocked by the post, and that it looked kind of cool, so I got the camera back out and aimed to see if I could capture the effect I saw with my eyes. Pretty close. I have a shot that shows the post and chain in focus, and the sun out of focus, but I liked the look of this one. It has a more surreal look and feel to it, for me any ways. The sun is actually blocked by the post, but looking at the picture one would think it has already set, or that it really shrank down in size and is just to the left of the post. part of why I like the picture, it leaves one wondering where did the sun go, what is that tiny sun, and why all the color to the right.

I like how I was actually able to get a focus on the grass stalks here and how softly the distant sunset came out. One more grassy shot to share, then I'll call it done.

More zoomed in on the grass, and less focus on the sunset, made for a very interesting shot I thought. They are two seperate images, and not a digital zoom in and crop from the same picture. I continue to have fun with and experiment with the christmas lens. next Monday keep your eyes out for #mountainmonday by @keithboone, I will have a post showing some more of today's outing and bring one mountain at least a lot closer, which is why we wanted the lens to begin with.

It was a lot of fun just getting the right angle and the right camera height, I actually used my tripod. The new lens is nice but as the light begins to fade, it needs a real steady hand to get a nice shot. So the tripod helps a lot for me.

The next time am shopping, tripod stands gotten. On a big camera, usually thought auto light settings would come into handy to save the many resets(though I have none)

It was a very nice sunset night, and all before 5:05pm, so got to enjoy before dinner, and not after eating a ton of food.
