Earlier today, while I was surfing some **steemit forum** on my laptop, I came across some discouraging approach from some **steemians** to another. When I say discouraging, I mean "a terminator kind of approach". A few days ago, I wrote a post about our [reasons on steemit](https://steemit.com/motivation/@bat-junior/steemit-question-what-am-i-really-doing-here), a post I hoped many of us must have read so that we can find our main purpose in this community.

A few hours ago, I saw a chat from a newbie who is trying to know his/her way around this community. This was a smart move by the newbie who doesn't want to spam nor troll on people's posts in order to get noticed.

At first, I was happy to see that some newbie took my advice on my [last post](https://steemit.com/motivation/@bat-junior/operation-steem-on-don-t-be-left-behind-newbies-the-road-to-glory-isn-t-rough-as-it-seems) which I lectured on what to do and what not to do. Behold fellow steemians, my happiness lasted for few minutes when an **already existing steemian** couldn't be of help, instead, he chose to be a **Terminator**.

Becoming a figure of hope for others shouldn't be abused, instead be proud of yourself because your hard work and success were noticed and that makes you a **figure of hope to newbies and existing steemians**. 

It's no crime if you as steemian refuses to associate with others but answering a newbie's question on what to do and what not to do shouldn't be a problem. Refusing to put many newbies through basic knowledge of steeming like advising and redirecting them to the appropriate forum, leads to increment of spamming and trolling, which is not good for the betterment of the community.

I have many friends on this platform that are always ready to teach me one thing or the other, the likes of @surpassinggoogle is no exemption. He is one tutor that knows what life entails. @donkeypong is also a steemian who ready to grow everyone alongside himself, @dragonslayer is a steemian who listens to you when no one is, @maryfavour's support to redfishes and minnows is something that can't be express in words because they are massive, @neoxian is a steemian whose intention is to make the community a better place by loaning out steem power and much more like @ehiboss, @infovore, @stellabelle, @gbenga and lot more are steemians who are ready to grow the community.

I am not a newbie nor a pro, but I know how it feels like when I ask for help about the community and someone turn me down.
