Llegó el día esperado. Mi nieta era una mezcla de alegría y preocupación pues se presentaron simultáneamente dos eventos ineludibles para ser realizados a la misma hora y día: Las clases de catecismo que estaba recibiendo para cumplir con el Sacramento de la Confirmación y el inicio del curso de inglés Nivel X Upper-Intermediate 1 Adolescente en la Universidad Nacional Experimental del Táchira (UNET) y como se trataba de la primera clase es obligatorio asistir para recibir las orientaciones metodológicas sobre el desarrollo del curso así como las estrategias para la evaluación que va utilizar el profesor, además de otras informaciones que son importantes para garantizar el éxito por parte de los alumnos. Lo que le causaba angustia y preocupación era que si el Catequista le permitía hacer la exposición que tenía asignada para ese sábado ocho de octubre del 2022 de primero y retirarse para asistir a dos de las cuatro horas del curso de inglés.
Mi nieta ISABELLA POLENTINO RONDON le explicó al catequista que estaba cumpliendo quince años y le agradecía que le permitiera hacer su presentación de primero y le diera permiso para retirarse para asistir a la UNET al curso de inglés que comenzaba ese mismo día y a la misma hora de las clases de catecismo. El catequista aceptó e Isabella sintió un alivio al superar unos de los obstáculos que se estaba imaginando por la rigurosidad que los instructores manifiestan.

Cuando la llevaba para la UNET, iba poseída de un inusitado silencio, pero al observar su rostro se dibujaba la presencia de un intenso diálogo interno ocasionado por pensar cuál sería la reacción de la profesora por llegar tarde. Intuyendo que todo eso estuviera pasando le recomendé que planificara una estrategia para justificar la inasistencia a las dos primeras horas de clases. Le recomendé que la saludara, se presentara y explicara los motivos de llegar tarde en inglés. Ella me contestó que en eso era que venía pensando. Luego me preguntó si le iban hacer algo para celebrar sus quince años. Yo le mentí. Le dije que sólo sabía de la torta y que su papá y su esposa no se han reportado y que no se preocupara que a lo mejor la llevan a almorzar a un restaurant de su agrado. De ahí deduce que la otra causa de su diálogo interno eran las expectativas, las sorpresas que le tenían para cuando saliera de clases.
El otro motivo de su diálogo interno estaba centrado en lo que le iban hacer para celebrar sus quince años, pues, ella lo único que observaba era el silencio. Sus abuelos la felicitamos en la mañana y su abuela le preguntó sobre la hora de salida del curso para ella tenerle listo el almuerzo que le había ofrecido y que ella quería para ese día. También la felicitó su hermano mayor quien tampoco soltó prenda. Antes de llegar a las clases de catecismo su tía y demás familiares maternos la llamaron y le enviaron muchos mensajes de felicitación; los de parte del padre se reportaron después.
Isabella Polentino Rondón vino al mundo un ocho de octubre del año dos mil siete. Su llegada la celebramos en el Centro Clínico San Cristóbal su abuelo paterno y una prima de su padre con sus hijas, su papá, sus abuelos maternos, su tía y varios familiares más. Su abuela paterna no pudo asistir físicamente por encontrarse en delicado estado de salud. Ella murió diez meses después. Su padre Jorge Fernando junto con su esposa Cémida María y su hijo Alessandro la fueron a buscar a la UNET para acompañarla a compartir el almuerzo que le había hecho su abuela Ana Mireya y su tía Carolina. Cuando llegaron a la casa el primero que entró fue Alessandro para informar a todos los presentes que habían llegado. Cuando ella tocó el timbre Alessandro abrió la puerta del garaje cuando se asomó se encontró con la sorpresa que los familiares de Rubio, estaban presentes y así como los de San Cristóbal y lo que más la alegró fue un grupo de jóvenes músicos que empezaron a cantarle y tocar las piezas musicales que ella siempre decía que le gustan. Luego vinieron las felicitaciones acompañadas de abrazos y regalos. Le impactó como el local había sido decorado con sillas y mesas muy lindas y un escenario con su nombre alusivo a los quince años y una torta de tres pisos acompañada de una variedad de pasapalos dulces y un boll grande lleno de sangría. A las ocho de la noche se cantó el cumpleaños feliz, se repartió la torta, muy sabrosa por cierto, y se continuó con el ambiente bailable por una hora. Cuando los invitados y familiares se despedían expresan gratitud por invitarlos y señalaban que “todo estuvo muy bonito y la cumpleañera muy bella”. Al preguntarle sobre la celebración respondió que: “Todo muy bonito, por encima de las expectativas. Mejor de lo que yo me había imaginado. Me sentí muy bien. Gracias a todos”
