<div class="text-justify">Hoy cumplo un año en Hive y quiero celebrarlo participando en una iniciativa convocada por la comunidad @writingclub para conmemorar el Día Internacional de la Mujer que fue decretado por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) en 1975. Desde muy joven soy una fiel defensora del derecho de la mujer a la educación, al trabajo y especialmente a elegir su destino. Durante siglos nada de eso le fue permitido a nuestras ancestras, todas tenían un destino decidido por las figuras masculinas de la familia: el hogar, como esposas y madres. La única alternativa era el convento. Algunas mujeres de notable inteligencia, como Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, optaron por el convento, porque les permitía no estar sujetas a un hombre y poder estudiar, aprender a leer y escribir, y así poder alimentar su mente y su espíritu.</div>

<div class="text-justify"> En este año que he formado parte de la comunidad de Hive y de distintas comunidades que hacen vida en la plataforma, he aprendido muchísimo. Esto ha sido posible porque vivo en una sociedad en la que las mujeres pueden leer y escribir, pueden expresar sus opiniones. Quiero agradecer a todas las comunidades que me han permitido expresarme durante este primer año en Hive y me han ofrecido diversas iniciativas, temas sobre los cuales escribir, espacios de encuentro enriquecedores en el discord, orientaciones para que pueda mantenerme activa. En primer lugar, muchas gracias a  @rutablockchain @enmyMente @danielvehe @ambarvegas @bluemist que me apoyaron para iniciar mis actividades en la plataforma. ## *Acerca de Malala*

<div class="text-justify">La convocatoria en la que estoy participando de @writingclub “Escribiendo entre mujeres y letras” toma como referencia el tema propuesto por la ONU para celebrar el Día Internacional de la Mujer”: “La innovación y el cambio tecnológico, y la educación en la era digital para alcanzar la igualdad de género y el empoderamiento de todas las mujeres y niñas”. Por eso he tomado a la joven activista pakistaní Malala Yousafzai como personaje para inspirarme en la minificción que les comparto que he titulado con su nombre “Malala”. Ella inició su actividad pública en 2009, como activista por los derechos de las niñas y jóvenes de su país a través de un blog que escribió para la BBC de Londres, usando un seudónimo, contando la manera en que se les prohibía ir a la escuela a las niñas de la provincia donde vivía, Khyber. </div>

<div class="text-justify"> Sólo tenía 12 años y Malala tomó notoriedad pública, el siguiente verano, el periodista Adam Ellick de The New York Times, rodó un documental sobre su vida y cómo el ejército talibán había intervenido la región. La niña continuó dando entrevistas y dos años después  fue nominada para el Premio de la Paz Internacional de la Infancia por el activista sudafricano Desmond Tutu. Al año siguiente, el 9 de octubre de 2012, fue víctima de un atentado que casi le cuesta la vida. Un hombre armado subió al transporte escolar donde se encontraba y disparó varias veces contra Malala. cientos de personas salieron a la calle a protestar luego del atentado.</div>

<div class="text-justify"> Cuando lograron estabilizarla fue trasladada a Reino Unido y felizmente pudieron salvar su vida. Benazir Bhutto, quien fue Primer Ministro de Pakistán, no tuvo esa suerte, murió asesinada. Cuando Yousafzai habló en Naciones Unidas llevaba puesto un chal que perteneció a Bhutto. Al recuperarse y volver a la escuela el 4 de enero de 2013, ya establecida en Reino Unido, Malala, expresó: “Volver al colegio me hace muy feliz. Mi sueño es que todos los niños del mundo puedan ir a la escuela porque es su derecho básico”.</div>

<div class="text-justify">En 2014 le fue otorgado el Premio Nobel de la Paz. Hoy la joven pakistaní tiene 25 años, vive en Birmingham, Reino Unido, se casó en marzo de 2021 con Asser Malik y tiene una fundación con su nombre Malala Yousafzai malala.org, a través de la cual “desafiar sistemas, políticas y prácticas para que todas las niñas puedan acceder a 12 años de educación gratuita, segura y de calidad”.</div>

<div class="text-justify"> Me parece importante compartirles su historia, como un ejemplo extraordinario de una mujer que ha defendido el derecho a que otras mujeres reciban educación, a pesar de vivir en un contexto en el que a las mujeres se les prohibe su derecho a la educación. <div class="text-justify">-Una joven musulmana, como nosotras, habló para la televisión, dijo que la educación es también un derecho para las niñas, lo vi en internet, en casa de una amiga que sus padres le permiten leer. Se llama Malala. </div>

Faitha no, Faitha es una mujer mayor de cuarenta años, casada desde niña con un hombre que no ama, una lágrima corre por su mejilla, mientras espera que el hombre llegue a poseerla en silencio y luego se de la vuelta y se duerma, como cada día. </div>

## *About Malala*

<div class="text-justify"> The call in which I am participating in @writingclub "Writing between women and letters" takes as a reference the theme proposed by the UN to celebrate International Women's Day": "Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age to achieve gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls".
