### Where Do Ideas Come From

* Keeping busy is the best way to generate ideas. Whatever your current project is will cause you to think about other ways you could do it. These possible variations soon become new projects. 
* Ideas come from being aware of what others are doing; so read, go to museums, talk to other artists and writers. 
* Then there are ideas that come out of the blue, thump you on the head and say, hello.

This image titled, *Pinched Within Borders* was used as an illustration in one of my earlier posts. Now I am using it to illustrate how an idea evolves.

### Example One

After diner was over I sat looking at my plate and suddenly thought, this is interesting, I think I will start taking pictures of my dirty dinner plates and see what comes of it. I think this was the remains of a big salad with a raspberry vinaigrette.

### Example Two

Here is another plate with remnants of Moo Shu Pork. The little four pronged "E" shape is where the fork once rested on the plate.

### Experimentation

I did a lot of experimentation with the photos. Using various Photoshop filters and color pallets I ultimately created this image. What I liked about it was the depth it showed, almost as if it was outer space. I also liked that it looked cold and seemed to appear as a large floating cube of ice.

### The Final Image

 I added the red circle to create a strong focal point. I felt it helped to create the idea of enclosed space. It seemed to be confined within a border, like an animal in a corral. Suddenly for me this gave the image meaning, it was communicating the concept of confinement within a vast space.
