Splinterlands - User's DAO proposals are a long waited feature

Splinterlands blockchain game is lifted by its community, and all the players are waiting for the user's proposals system. Currently, only Splinterlands can promote DAO proposals. Still, we need a community voice by enabling each member to raise new DAO tokenomics applicable cases and cast their hard-earned vote on how those funds are to be used. Being a blockchain game it is imperative to decentralize the governance decisions in order to ensure the use of technology, rather than falling under the sins of traditional and centralized game platforms.

While this probably is a work in progress, I believe that it is quite important to get it out to the players as soon as possible. Why? Simply because it will give them a voice and true participation in the game tokenomics and pave the path of future game development. It is not enough just to listen to the community, but also to empower it and give it the right tools for its members to be able to act as they consider fit. We need a clear voice and that's only doable through user-initiated DAO proposals.

With the SPS nodes validation, Splinterlands made a step toward the decentralization of the game tokenomics. It should consider and layer up new features that continue with the true decentralization and split governance of the game in order to keep the core mission and native features of a blockchain game. This will ensure the survival and even thriving of the game as players are here also for the technology and not only for just another card game. Hopefully, we will soon see the user-initiated DAO proposals and bring some more energy and dynamics to the SPlinterlands space.

To me, the most interesting question is to which direction the game is pushed by those with lots of voting power. Are they into the actual gameplay? And would the DAO proposals develop the gameplay or just the tokenomics side such as staking, renting, etc.

DAO proposals refer only to the SPS tokens in the treasury. We don't have a way to change the course of the game, but if many of us will voice a proposal we will have a stage to present it.

Hopefully incoming year is good for crypto and gamified projects because 2022 is not good crypto. I have also decided to buy some gold cards and sps and save it for incoming bull market. Sps staking is good to earn some reward daily.
